Crappiebasser Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 I have a tourney Saturday and I am not really sure were to look for the fish. Last week the water was 64 degrees and we caught them very shallow and in the backs of creeks. Since then they have drawn over a foot of water out of the lake and we are expecting 2-3 inches of rain. If it was just the draw down I would think the fish would be pulled back into the creek channels and deeper on secondary points. The water temp should be as high or higher than last week. Since they have drawn it down but it will shoot right back up what will the fish do? Where would you start in this case? Quote
Super User Catt Posted March 27, 2009 Super User Posted March 27, 2009 I would expect the water temperature to cool some what due to the fact rain water is cooler than lake water; how much cooler is hard to determine in advance. I would probably start looking for bass on the first or second break line up from the creek channel. Quote
ChazfromVA Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 just like catt said they will probably slip back down toward the creek channel but dont be afraid to try up shallow.. i guess it depends but thee fish could follow the fluctuating water level and stay relatively shallow if the water stays in the 60's.. its all about trying different things if ya wanna win that one Quote
