Best state for bass fishing?

If it's big bass you want, then I agree with alot of you for Texas, Florida, Georgia, Alabama and the south, but for numbers, MAINE can't be beat. A good day on the water in those states are 20-30 bass, MAINE can see upward of 50+ daily with some nice size as well. We don't have "hugh" bass due to the short season, but there are a lot of them in just about every pond, lake and river system here, both smallies and l/m, and up in the Bangor area in central Maine, a pond is considered to be 500+ acres and lakes are 2000+ on avg. with little to no boats on them during the summer. I fish all the time I can, and usually I'm one of 3 boats out there during the week. Lots of water, not lots of "noise"...

For GIANT bass, their is no other place in the entire world that can hold a candle to Cali.

I *** the South for it's giant Flathead and Blue Cats, and up North for their Muskies, however, I NEVER get the "grass is greener" syndrome, when it comes to bass.

Cali has 1 bass species that no other state has. Calico bass and there are FUN!!!
