Tanker4lyfe Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 okay so got a tourney sat and weather dont look to good. now how should i approach the fish????? supposed to be mix of snow/rain but winds will be low in the 5-10mph ive never fished in weather like this any tips Quote
Super User Catt Posted March 12, 2009 Super User Posted March 12, 2009 My question to you would be what was the weather like during the week leading up to the tournament? Quote
Stan Browning Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 I would flip a black and blue jig tight to cover and fish slowly if the water temps have dropped like they have here in Texas the fish get real tight to cover, those fish that were on beds when this blew in will still be there, but the rest that were roaming should be tight to cover. Tanker4lyfe Posted March 12, 2009 Author Posted March 12, 2009 ya im in texas also el paso and the tourney is in new mexico at santa rosa lake the weather this week has been up and down between windy sunny just kinda been back and forth Quote
Super User Catt Posted March 13, 2009 Super User Posted March 13, 2009 Unstable weather conditions dictate slow approaches with finesse lures; look at the first and second break line way from the bank. Quote
rebeav Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 Is that your recommendation on Toledo this weekend as well? I am not fishing there but I know there are several tournaments there this weekend and alot of those guys are thinking WTH. Quote
