Ima Bass Ninja Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 People that stop 15 feet back from the white line at a stop light. Seriously, you are stopped just behind the line, and next to you is an empty space because some idiot is 15 feet back. What is up with that? i do this when turning left at a red light. There are plates on the road that when a vehicle stops on it will trigger the left turn arrow so you don't have to wait. I always move up when someone gets behind me though. ;D Quote

Mrs. Matstone Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 I hate it when I am fishing from shore, catching some fish and having a good time and then some guy comes up in a boat and comes in so close to where I am fishing that I do not even have room to cast anymore and have to move on. Which alone is bad enough and really ticks me off but then when I move on to the next spot and start catching fish again they move right up again. Again I am forced to move on. > Quote

I don't have any pet peaves that shouldn't be. All of mine are legitimate and justifiable. Quote

He was muskie fishing and casting his bait big old bait right up on to where these bank fishermen were set up. One of them chewed him up one side and down the other. I'd have given him (the bank fisherman) the high five if I'd gotten the chance. This guy is a pretty much maroon and I eventually gave up on him. Haven't regretted it for a moment. Quote
thetr20one Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 MOST of my pet peaves are legit and one of my biggest is people who repeatedly say "you know what I'm sayin?" after every sentence. If most of those people had communication skills they wouldn't have to ask if we knew what they were saying. Quote

Held up traffic for at least 5 minutes before they finally decided to inch up a bit, and the light changed within 10 seconds. : Quote
zacksdad Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 when someone says "how ya doing chief". Do I look like a freaking chief? Am I wearing a headdress full of feathers? I don"t think so. Quote
Eddie Munster Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 A lot of good ones that I agree with and that I have added to my list, as if I needed more. People driving in the 'Passing Lane' that AREN'T passing. It's not the 'Sunday Drive Lane'. As they say in the military 'Lead, follow or get the heck out of the way!'. Invariably it's usually the usual suspects doing it too that either have no sense of consideration for others or are just plain ignorant that slower traffic should stay to the right. A friend of mine's peave is people saying ATM machine. He says 'ATM machine? Is that the machine that makes Automated Teller Machines?' People who refuse to try and learn things. I just don't understand people who are okay with constantly asking for help on the same things. Crack a book, 'google it'. I don't know how many THOUSANDS of dollars I've saved by refusing to pay for labor that I can do/learn. 'Friends' that you don't hear from unless they need something/help from you. Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted February 28, 2009 Super User Posted February 28, 2009 when someone says "how ya doing chief". Do I look like a freaking chief? Am I wearing a headdress full of feathers? I don"t think so. Get that alot. But then again, I'm retired Navy, and I never took it as being an Indian cheif. Most of the time, being referred to as "chief" is also what I consider to be the boss, the leader, or, as most of my family, retired CPO's of the USN. A pet peeve of mine is becoming all the spell check threads. To simply put it nicely, if you don't like the way some one posts, skip them, I do. I am professional when it counts, I could understand if you were seeking sponsors on a fishing forum that a potential sponsor might read, you want to appear like you are well rounded and polished in all areas for appearance purposes. But the majority of us arent, we are just interacting with a with a variety of ages that are made up of different educational back grounds. Quote
clipper Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Weddings during deer season or spring fishing season. People should have the decency to get married when it's either too cold or too hot to hunt or fish. Inviting a man to a baby shower. Even worse, inviting a man to a bridal shower. Just ain't proper. sambrochill Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Blinker usage. Apparently its a lost art. I hate being behind someone and they switch lanes without using there blinker. They need to be pulled over, drug out of the car and kicked repetively. Thats mine too. All it takes is moving your finger one inch, thats it. One inch ;D i agree Quote

Other. Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 It bothers me when people don't use proper terminology. Or just make something up some word in their head. Especially with fishing related stuff. I don't know why but it just tears me up. Quote
fishnjohn Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 I got the boat out today and went fishing by myself. The ramp I launched at has 12 lanes with 2 docks. Guess what. When I came back in the docks were taken up by people that were just siting in there boats talking while they waited for the trailer. And another thing. Whiler driving home on a 65 mph road I was in the slow lane driving 55. I caught up to a car in my lane driving 45. When I tried to pass they speed up to 55. That just ticks me off. Quote
fishnjohn Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 That happened to me and a couple friends. The boat was trolling for trout within 25 feet of the shore. The guy I was with cast his line over the guys that were trolling and snagged up alll four of their lines and pulled the in. I hate it when I am fishing from shore, catching some fish and having a good time and then some guy comes up in a boat and comes in so close to where I am fishing that I do not even have room to cast anymore and have to move on. Also when guys with boats think there better than shore fisherman, when i know every part of this creek and can out fish just about anyone 3-1 there. another, FRESHMAN, i was playing basketball, and i totally schooled him and he says "WOW, you think your cool or somthing?" i says"no i think im good at basket ball, stop crying like a ***** and play the game" my gym is 45 freshman and me, the only sophmore , i hate freshman, cocky little punks.
