1 People that strap or unstrap their boat on the ramp!

2 Peole that break off 50 foot of braid that I eventually pull up when I fish a crankbait!

3 People that don't have side bunks or poles on the sides of their trailer to allow them to actually load their boat when it is windy?  PVC and U-bolts aren't expensive if you can't afford the real stuff at Bass Pro.

When someone says "thank you" you are supposed to say "you're welcome." NOT "thank you" back at them....ARGGHHHH!

A fishing pet peeve is seeing a print ad or tv commercial for a fishing product where the actors are holding spinning gear upside down or otherwise using the gear incorrecty.

Plus, in the most recent issue of "Bassin'" there is an ad for a free rod and reel if you subscribe to a crappie magazine where the Revo Premiere reel in the photo is mounted on the casting rod backwards (not to mention that the $250 reel is most likely not the free one they will get if they subscribe).

Talking on the cell phone and not saying a da*% thing. My wife and her sister will stay on the phone an hour conducting a conversation that should/can be completed in five minutes or less.

They sit there thinking without saying a word for minutes, just mumbling, while each tries to think of something else to mumble about.

Drives me up the wall.

Huh!  That's a switch!  Most persons of the "fairer sex" will talk for hours without thinking a dang thing!

Oops.  That was kind of sexist, wasn't it.  my mistake. ;)

Spell check? please explain where it is and how to use it on this site!

When you bring up the space for tying in a post or response,

it's just outside the box, upper right. "Check spelling" in blue.

Hit to check, hit again to resume typing.

I see said the blind man, thank you.

I hate loud, annoying, obnoxious people who blast rap music in the car next to me during a traffic jam because they think that they're hard@$$.

I'll add to that...

When they go into a convienient store or gas station and leave that s--t playing while they go inside or during a fillup ::)

I HATE when new crankbaits don't run right.

It's one thing when they don't catch fish but when they take themselves out of the entire ballgame by not running strait it hits me where it hurts and I can't stand it!

;D

I'm done  :)

Idk why but i cant stand when people creep forward at a redlight, a woman in front of me almost ran the redlight while creeping forward. As for fishing i cant stand when people act like there better at fishing then me becuase at the time im using a spinning reel and they are using a baitcaster. Even though they have no idea i have 4 baitcasters sitting at home haha

The rochester locals who go down to the pond catch about 15 tiny bluegill like 2-3" throw them in their bucket and then when they leave they decide they're not big enough and throw them back into the water...dead. Also when people leave the Styrofoam worm containers everywhere! Makes me real mad. >:(

Fishing when jet skiers use my wake for a personal Xgame course makes me want to launch a crank bait at them.

Non fishing:  When supervisor or anybody for that matter asks to do something if you don't mind,  "If you don't mind would you come in Saturday?"  If I didn't mind I would have already volunteered for it wouldn't I.  Dang right I mind.

Tribal salmon nets in the Columbia. If it were up to me they would all be shredded.

When recreational boats (jet skis...) come blast you on purpose. They just don't realize how close they just came too getting seriously injured.

Unnecessary criticism - such as spelling nazi's! (unless it is a critique of a resume or like kind item)

When people lie - but especially when they lie about something that doesn't really matter.

Other than that I'm a pretty tough guy to get along with.  ;D

There could be a whole new thread on Ramp/Dock manners!

Get this one- A guy cuts me off real bad to beat me to the launch so he could get his boat on the trailer first! When I get up to the dock and I get out of my boat I said to him that was a real smart move! He starts to tell me to fu-- off and he goes on and on! But then he looks up at me and see's that I am a Cop! Boy did he change his point of view!

fishing: knots left on hooks/lures.  i hate that, a friend of mine used to use his baits with like 5-6 old knots and tag ends hanging there.

non-fishing: when driving on the interstate and i am in the left lane, doing the speed limit trying to pass a semi or other vehicle.  and some idiot goes flying by me on the right, rides right up on the semis arse, then brakes heavily and falls back in behind me cuz there isnt enough room for them to cut me off.  IDIOTS!!!

Ditto on crowding ramps...But I draw a line.  If it is a fisherman that just doesn't know how to get his boat back onto the trailer then I will happily help him.  I for one have certainly been there.  But, if it is some jack@$$ that just wants to waste space and slow everyone down I have no mercy!

I also despise pleasure boating idiots that pull the boat out of the water (still blocking the lanes) and then talk to their buddy that happened to be passing by.  Get the **** out of here!!!!

Idiots that talk on cell phones while driving.

People that can't use blinkers.

People that stop 15 feet back from the white line at a stop light.

Seriously, you are stopped just behind the line, and next to you is an empty space because some idiot is 15 feet back.  What is up with that?

People that flick cigarette butts out the window.

Spoiled brats driving nice cars that mommy and daddy bought.

People with hellish/bratty children that look at me, and as if to excuse their children's awful behavior say something like, "You'll understand when you have kids".  NO.  No, I won't.  Because my parents weren't afraid to kick my butt when I needed it!

When I see people keeping every single 2" or 3" fish they pull out.

People that say "my mistake".  What does that even mean!?

When you say something like 'hey, how you doing?' as a greeting and the idiot responds 'fine, thanks' because they aren't paying attention.

Yeah, a lot of things aggravate the crap out of me.  That's probably why the doctor just diagnosed me with advanced hypertension and prescribed some medicine.  Yeah right, like some magical little pills are just gonna make all the stupid people go away!  Just kidding...well, sort of.

Guys who don't use clippers. My partner bites 17 lb XT when we are striper fishing and it hurts to watch!

OUCH! I can still hear and feel chunks of my front teeth breaking off. My dentist once asked me if I grind my teeth in my sleep. I replied, "No. I fish. A lot." He said, "STOP IT!".

Eventually I bought clippers, bc my front teeth have no sharp edges anymore. John, hang a retractor with a pair of clippers on your coat/vest. They're cheaper in the long run.

Some lure companies and their ridiculously laughable tv shows, showing them fishing in stocked ponds with their newest bait, that completely insult the intelligence of any respectable angler./quote]

Well, I guess I won't mention names, but this company, through a famous sponsored angler, has gone more and more into the snakeoil business of late. The BS is flying and prices are being stretched (due to the swimbait craze). I'm losing respect for everything but this guys ablility to catch bass.

Then there's all those lure ads that say, "Fish CAN"T resist this lure." Give me a break. Fishing is the last bastion of the snakeoil salesman. What if they didn't say such ridiculous stuff? Would it really impact their sales? What if they just told us about the lures special attributes and specific applications? How about sink rate, vibration type (tight, wide), snag-proof ability, hooking qualities, castability, .... something we can use, and lose the BS.

At home - My house being a complete wreck , (laundry room not included , cause I'm not allowed to do laundry)
