mattm Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 No doubt about it, its a lake. Sorry, what were you looking for? Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted February 14, 2009 Super User Posted February 14, 2009 Looks like KY Lake. I see two major stageing spots. Quote
BASS fisherman Posted February 14, 2009 Author Posted February 14, 2009 Looks like KY Lake. Maybe........... But what does your angler intuition tell you when looking at that picture? Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted February 14, 2009 Super User Posted February 14, 2009 I might stop and fish those two sandbars and the little pocket on the north bank of the top bay on the right. Other than that. I would have to see a topo map. Quote
fishizzle Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 it tells me that its time to go fishing Quote
Super User burleytog Posted February 14, 2009 Super User Posted February 14, 2009 That you know how to use Google Earth? Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted February 14, 2009 Super User Posted February 14, 2009 It's deep Has two underwater bars (Or rock wing dams) Many points Water is down (to winter pool possibly) Has current Other than that nothing. Quote
George Welcome Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 That you know how to use Google Earth? My exact thoughts, and that the body of water has plenty of secondary points to play with. Did I mention the boat flying to the south? Quote
hjerk24 Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Not sure where this is going, but I do like that he put up a google earth pic, and asked people to dissect it in a way. Would like to see more of that kind a thing. As far as what I see...sand bar, or rocks of some sort...or deeper water. Like the little cove looking features. Also...looks warm!!!!!!!! The backs of the coves look good to one looks like it has a creek feeding in. The white shoreline is interesting to...what is that????? I am no expert, so....there it is. 8-) Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted February 14, 2009 Super User Posted February 14, 2009 White shore line indicates low water. Quote
hjerk24 Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 It is Kentucky Lake. Looks cool on google earth. The Land Between the Lakes in cool, and the amount of water to be fished looks amazing. The further down the lake, there are the same pattern of rocks or sand, as in this pic. What are the circle looking impressions that are in some of the "same" looking type structures down the lake? If you go south and look at some of the same type dark areas, you see what looks to be big circles in the sand or bank? I love this stuff. May be nothing, but looks cool. Quote
hjerk24 Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Being a Dam Lake, does the release of eater have anything to do with the sandy type condition? Not a clue, just reaching as I research online. Quote
hjerk24 Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 By the way...If I am way off...I claim IDIOCY!!!!!!!!! Quote
Super User Micro Posted February 14, 2009 Super User Posted February 14, 2009 I hate when some paints a big white line down the middle of a lake. Quote
George Welcome Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 I hate when some paints a big white line down the middle of a lake. How else are you going to control traffic? Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 I hate when some paints a big white line down the middle of a lake. How else are you going to control traffic? It's tricky though. No longer is it "red on right return", it's more of an English version of traffic control, "White on right return" Be careful out there guys. Does anyone have the link to the thread where the guy explains what programs to download and how to overlay the google earth with the others etc? It was awesome, I'll try to find it Quote
TheBeast Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 It tells me that picture is 4 years old and taken a month before the roadtrip will be taking place. Quote

hjerk24 Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 So what exactly are you looking for...or what is your answer???? Quote
Super User cart7t Posted February 14, 2009 Super User Posted February 14, 2009 I hate when some paints a big white line down the middle of a lake. That's where the barges are supposed to go. That's not where a bass boat is supposed to go if a barge was just there unless you like high altitude boating. Quote
