I love it too but its nothing like a king shad. Not saying one is better or worst but its not a swimbait. I won some money on a jointed shad rap and to me its excels when I want a slower presentation. ;)

i have quite a few in  alot of colors   i see they have some new ones out that have a red bill  so i brought a few in the house and taped the body off and sanded the bill then sprayer the bills  my best colors are

firetiger . crawdad ,baby bass,shad , i use the sr 7's

I've been fishing for the past three days and I have tried the shad rap a lot. A lot a lot. And I got nothing. I tried all the retrieves and everything...maybe I'll just put it away till summer

They do make the super shad rap in the shallow diving version but its not jointed

Ahhh..the internet, where time stands still for over a decade....lol

Jointed shad raps, among other Rapala baits, is an early season favorite for me.  I favor all of the craw patterns for LM's.

I think this may be the case of selling the fisherman rather than the fish, but I've always loved jointed baits.  They have always looked more natural to me.
