Tonight at 10:00 the National Geographic channel is airing a show called " Hooked on Bass". Suppose to have KVD and other stuff. Might be worth checking out.

Here's a little more info I found:

Tonight at 10 pm, the National Geographic Channel will show "Hooked on Bass," which takes a look at bass and the sport of bass fishing from the perspectives of three groups of fishermen:

* A father and son who compete in a big-bass tournament in Texas

* Two friends who are obsessed with catching the world record largemouth in California, and

* Kevin VanDam, as he captures his fourth Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Angler of the Year award last summer.

The film is narrated by Tommy Sanders and was produced and directed by Tim Schick of CS&E (JM Associates).

It includes a number of underwater scenes bass anglers are sure to love. The show will be re-aired February 28 at 8 pm eastern.

It is also supposed to have a section about Bob Sealy and his big bass tournaments he puts on. Most have been here in Texas, but he now has the one on gunterville each year. should be interesting.  The one this year on Rayburn is advertising a million dollar payout.

NG usually does great stuff. So I'm really looking forward to this special. I don't know if anybody caught the Air Force one and Marine One special but they were also very cool.

Been awhile since I have been on the forum but while channel surfing came on this show...logged on just to share with the other bassheads in the world but someone beat me too it.  Pretty cool to see the "DOTTIE" story that I read on the forum here!

chad

can't wait for it to warm up here in NC!!! <=====><   looking for the 15lbr this summer!

It was kind of funny...they showcased the California 'bed fisherman' right after they explained how easy it was to catch a bass that is guarding a nest  "Anglers take advantage of the clearly visible bass and its willingness to strike at anything".

I thought it was a great show! I also like that it was done on a non sportsmans channel. National Geographic did a great job as usual.

I have it recorded and will watch it again.

Its great that NG put the time/resources for that show.  I thought it was put together and I really liked the overall format.

Hopefully, this will continue to help encourage folks of all ages to invest in a rod and reel and go fishing!  We need more spokes people to support this valuable industry.

I thought it was great! The only thing is that I felt as they kind of kept repeating the same stuff over and over again. Other then that I loved the few underwater shots they had. Was really neat.
