Super User burleytog Posted January 12, 2009 Super User Posted January 12, 2009 You might want to organize a 'Meet Burley' event. That will draw them in. I'll even give my award-winning seminar, 'Catching Dinks on Small Lakes'. I do, however, charge $5 per autograph. Quote
Super User Jimzee Posted January 12, 2009 Super User Posted January 12, 2009 I just sent my registration out to Ronnie yesterday. Come on guys, it's a lot of fun. Quote
BassNub Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 What if you're a non boater? I've viewed the previous road trip videos and it seems like everyone has a boat. Quote
Super User 5bass Posted January 12, 2009 Super User Posted January 12, 2009 What if you're a non boater? I've viewed the previous road trip videos and it seems like everyone has a boat. There should be enough seats with people who bring boats to catch a ride. I'm 99.9999% sure that you wont have to fish off the bank. Quote
BassNub Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Ok that's a breather, well I'll have to see my work schedule and see if i can get it off and do the drive down with a buddy of mines, it looks awesome fun! Quote

BARON49_Northern NY Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Sounds like a good time, but I will be down in Florida thinking about the long trip back home. Is this something you guys do on a regular basis? Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 12, 2009 Super User Posted January 12, 2009 Once a year. This is the 4th Annual. The first two were held at Lake Fork, last year Guntersville and this year Kentucky Lake. 8-) Quote
Bean Counter Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 I was hoping to come this year, but thats the last full week of tax season and I will be up to my neck in tax returns. Have fun and maybe next year. Quote
Super User firefightn15 Posted January 12, 2009 Super User Posted January 12, 2009 Boss told me yesterday to go ahead a plan for it, so I did. Room is reserved and registration in the mail to Ronnie. Non-boat haulin', but willing to help make up for it with fresh cheese. Quote
bassnleo Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 I wish everyone a good time again this year. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend again, this was gonna be my year :-/. Reason-------I made the 2009 TBF/FLW Mid-Atlantic Divisional tournament which is a week long with practice and tourney days. I had to burn an extra week of vacation for this tournament, the week I could have used for the trip. Maybe next year Quote
IdahoLunkerHunter Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 Wish I could but the near 2000 miles is a bit outta my league for a road trip I'm sure it will be a blast and good luck! How about making next year somewhere where us north westerners can partake *Hint Idaho or Washington Quote

IdahoLunkerHunter Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 Actually... Disregard my old message I just checked flights and I might be able to swing the plane ticket. Anyone interested in letting a guy crash on a cot? *By the way, I've got a professional Video Camera I will bring to help film the event and fishing...*write off* Quote

Just stay off the main lake if the wind gets up. There are a number of larger bays and creek arms that should be good fishing at that time. There are many boat ramps that will allow you to put in and never have to see the mainlake if the wind gets up. Quote
