I'm going to start fishing more than club tournaments this year, so I have to work on being more aware of how I am spending my time on the water.

Like a lot of other folks, I am going to work on learning to fish a jig.

Any way to get this stickied? So as the year progresses we can track how people are doing with there goals. People can post up as they work on there goals.

This may take more than a year, but no time like 09 to start.

I'm gonna be the guy that no matter what lake, time of year, weather, lrg or sml mouth, everynoe else thinks, he's got a shot at winning today.

The reason is that would mean I've managed my time well, put the patterns together, been versitile, been efficient and consistent. Not because I think I'm better than everyone. because I'm not!  Many humbling days to my credit. :'(

I want to either get a boat or even a nice inflatable so I can get ON the water not TO the water.

I also want to concentrate on using a jig, haven't caught one on a jig yet.

Other goals would include getting together with more of the members on this site and a new PB over 4.5 lbs.

Good luck to all ya all in '09

I would like to:

1. Catch more quality fish (break the 5 pound barrier)

2. Become more confortable with deep water fishing (10+ feet)

3. Finally put forth an effort to learn how to fish a jig

4. Be more consistent with my fish catching- Adapt better and fish smarter

Cranks.  I want to get better with them in different scenarios.

Plastics are also a big priority, and fortunately Dean has sent me a nice usps package loaded with them for Christmas.  Lot's more reading to do this winter.
