Today: Hi 71 20% chance of rain

Tonight: Lo 61 20% chance of rain

Friday: Hi 73 30% chance of rain

I think you are correct.

When it's cold, and snowing, and blowing, and the ponds are frozen, I do not look at them with an urgent desire to wet a line. I am anxious for the return of warm weather, but I'm not going to wish my life away.

However, when it's a bluebird day, and it would be great to be on the water, but other commitments prevent it, it really eats at me.

Yep, we have had similar weather here too Catt and I have been tied up in the house with some mystery illness drooling every time I look outside. :(

Don 't you hate it when it happens ? that horrible weather and no chances of wetting a line  :P  ;), Gotta say that we are in the same boat, this weekend it 's HER WEDDING ANNIVERSARY and I don 't think I can get away with it, I value too much my hide to make the mistake of going fishing.

Catt, at least you know that the next time good weather comes around it won't be two to four months down the road and, hopefully, you'll be available to scratch that itch. ;)

Hmm, I say suck it up buttercup!!!!   ;D

You've got to wait what a few days to go fishing?  Try a few months on for size.   And then add in the freezing rain (accumulating ice) plus the 8 or so inches of snow we're supposed to get.

I'd rather it be 70 with a chance of rain and not be able to go fishing than 20 with freezing rain/sleet/snow.   >:(

Catt, I went to Lake Conroe. they were absolutely knocking slack in the line. I fished a blade and a crankbait out off the river channel. Largest was just over 4 lbs. and I caught 17 in 4 hours though most would not make the 16" mininum. Made up for the *** kicking we took from the wind Saturday. I am planning on going next Tuesday if the weather is not to bad if you would like to join me.

I tried my best to get them to eat a jig and t-rig, but never had a sniff.

I'm like a crack head. It's hard to give it up and at first it's tough, but I'll eventually level out until spring starts poking at me and then I'm hooked again.
