Fish Fast Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 I have a new gps coming for the car/boat. It is the lowrance xog. i read that you can insert memory cards (fishing hotspots, Lakemaps, navionics, etc.) and that they are fairly reliable as far as waterdepth etc. My question is, which one has the best reputation? I live in Michigan. I fish mostly the Saginaw Bay and the St. Mary's River system near Saulte Ste. Marie. Anyone out there that could help me I would greatly appreciate it (especially since these maps seem very PRICEY) Thanks Joe Quote

Super User WRB Posted December 9, 2008 Super User Posted December 9, 2008 The XOG isn't designed to take advantage of the Navonics chip, stay with whatever Lowrance offers as a stanndard map for your area. WRB Quote
BassinBoy Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 I have the Navionics Premium and it gives me all the depths and structures on some of my favorite lakes. Here is the links to your choices: http://www.navionics.com/Premium08LakeList.asp?RegionID=3 Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted December 9, 2008 Super User Posted December 9, 2008 The Navionics Hotmaps Premium is compatible with the XOG. Check the compatibility list on the Navionics site. Quote
