eulerentinc Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 I have to go with topwater. Not that it catches the most fish for me but when i do hook one on top my adrenaline gets going, and makes me confident i can continue to hook up! Quote
bassboy1 Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 Definitely a T-rig. My first fish on a lure was a T-rig with a 5" curly tail purple worm. Freaken fish was a catfish though - a very bony small catfish in a lake with NO food source. They were desperate. My first bass on a lure was on a T-rig with a 4" red shad senko knockoff. Since then, T-rigs have been my go to baits. Quote
Super User FishTank Posted February 9, 2007 Super User Posted February 9, 2007 The 5' senko has to be my favorite. I yet to find a color that I can't catch a fish with. Quote
ga_hawghauler Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 t-rig or c-rig soft plastic in green pumpkin Quote
Bass Mekanik Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 My top confidence baits would be 6" stickbait watermelon red/purple flake and t-rig black trickworm. Quote
Johanv Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 I would go for Chatterbait morning session and when temperatures pick up I would go for T rigged Senko and Mojo rigged senko in Green pumpkin watermelon laminate Quote
BassinSoldier Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 year round go to bait for tough days...Green pumpkin senko, black with blue flake senko if water is dirty. Quote
FIN-S-R Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 Man does nobody use a yo-zuri vibe? This is easily my #1, on the poll it had vibration and cranks together, but I dont fish them anywhere near the same, and consider the vibration to be more like a spinner bait than a crank. Anyway, silver green back yo-zuri vibe...cant beat them anywhere on a tough day. You can cover water, they come through cover really well, and will VIBE-rate the rod out of your hand. Won more $$ on one of these little jewels this past year than anything else. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted February 9, 2007 Super User Posted February 9, 2007 FIN-S-R, Yep, I use the Ratl'N Vibe. That's my #1 Rat-L-Trap type lure, too! Quote
Cigarlover 1 Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 I'll fish a green pumpkin senko anytime. Quote
Super User T-rig Posted February 9, 2007 Super User Posted February 9, 2007 Dark coloured creature plastics t-rigged. Allways have confidence in these! Quote
BassPonder72 Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 I absolutely slaughtered bass last year with my Rebel pop'r but, my confidence was in the color not the bait itself. I now own several baits in this color and will throw them all with confidence this year. Though I have never seen any baitfish in the waters I fish that resemble this color pattern bass couldn't resist it. Rainbow with Gold fleck (g-fleck/rainbow). Try this color out if you haven't. Every fish I caught over 4lbs last year was on the pop'r in this color. I had to buy several due to the color coming off from repeated strikes. I bought some torpedos and inline spinners in the same color for this year and will be stocking up on zara spooks in the same color. The funny thing is I never would have picked this but, I was in BPS in Orlando last year and my wife fell in love with the pink & green color pattern. Go figure. Quote
Captain Cali Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 I vote other... Drop Shot, 4.5" Roboworm Straight Tail. Quote
BucketmouthAngler13 Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 YUM 4" green tube is near the top of my list along with wirebaits and cranks. Quote
Rattlinrogue Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 I voted C-rig because I can always drag up some bass with it,They're not always big bass but such is life.If I could have voted for two,I'd have gone with a spinnerbait also.As with the C-rig,if you make enough casts you'll eventually catch bass.
