Super User Micro Posted March 11, 2009 Super User Posted March 11, 2009 What are your thoughts on these? They seem to suspend very well. I've only fished the regular DD22s and Deep Little Ns but picked up a few of the suspending and tried them very briefly this weekend. Weather permitting, I'm going to give them a real go next weekend. Quote
Captain Obvious Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Great cranks, the DD22 is one of the best ever made, easily one of the favorite cranks in the USA, at least that's what I've read in certain places, I know that they are my favorites Quote
Uncle Leo Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 The one thing I will note on the Little N is it is easy to over power. Best to fish slow on light line.Action is great and finishes are one of the best. Quote
Super User Micro Posted March 11, 2009 Author Super User Posted March 11, 2009 I more curious about the ability to deep suspend them. In the lakes I fish, most of the bass I've recently found are still deep near baitfish. Despite the warm days we've had here and there, the water is still in the low 50s. I'm finding them mostly in about 16 feet of water. I want to be able to work them slowly through that zone wth frequent stops. Quote
djmax22 Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 The Norman DD22 is one of my favorite cranks in the box. I usually have a lucky craft tied on one rod and DD22/deep lil'N tied on another rod. The suspending models are good, but prefer the non-suspending DD22 probably b/c it doesn't come in my favorite pattern. I like cranking them down pause and letting them float back-up a few feet before cranking them back down. Like most suspending cranks some have tendency to float so you might want to get yourself some suspend strips. Quote
