I found this weather site that gives a graphical representation of the best fishing times per day. It is a pretty interesting idea. I'm not sure if it really works, but it's kind of interesting to consider. I figured the best fishing times were early in the morning and later in the day, so no huge suprise there. Check it out:

Can you control the weather ?

Only if you were capable of controlling the variables of nature then those "prime times" would have value otherwise they are as valuable as the ink they are written with, in other words, they are worth next to nothing.

What you can control is where you fish, with what, for how long and how you fish it, your success is limited in your own ability to adapt you fishing baits, rigging techniques, the way you present the bait based upon the conditions and locations. That 's what separates a good day from a bad day.

Now if you want a perfect excuse for not catching fish then you can blame it on the weather, the solunar tables, the moon phase, the water temperature or the Earth not being in the correct alignment with Neptune on the Taurus constellation.

Ridiculous.

Agree with Raul 100%.

I do pay attention to weather forecasts, and try to plan my fishing days for the best (fishing) weather. But sometimes I plan them for the worst weather, just to see what might happen: Usually I get my butt kicked. Tomorrow is just such a day -brilliant blue. Bass will be active, but it'll be a bear not spooking them, and then convincing them I'm offering real food. Interesting challenge though.

I'm conscience of the weather, solar tables, moon phases, and water temperatures but I'm not controlled by either. I pay more attention to weather patterns prior to and after a planned fishing trip than any other factor. The absolute best time to go fishing is when ever you can and the key to being productive is learning how to deal with what mother nature deals you.

I found the same info about a year ago on weather.com, and I have found that it does work...when i am trying to convince my wife that I need to go fishing from 6am to about 9 rather than just going after lunch!  Other than that, I have not found any significant value to the tables.

I looked over the list of lakes in my state.  Glavel lake, Pacific MO.

Never heard of it.  A google search shows the only place that lake shows up is in TWC fishing reports.   ::)
