Private vs. Public Lakes

Yea i pm'd paul. I used some poor word choices but i'm loving this board its like a infinite supply of advice, motivation, enthusasim, confidence building information I love it and yall aren't so stuck up like other places on the net again i'm loving it. O.k. i sound like i got brown stuff on my nose .

No offense intended but let me be the first to ask if you carry a scale and are weighing these 6-10 lbers or just guesstimating? For reason yet explained, until you actually start weighing your fish they are anywhere from 1.5-2X heavier than they ACTUALLY weigh. :'(

I know I was guilty of that and you see it ALL the time here.

Personally I'd spend all day catching 1-2 pounders if I was catching alot of them. I love catching fish and if the bass aren't hitting, sometimes I go after bluegill, crappie or study the lake some more.

i picked up a new account this past summer a privae golf course that has a pond on it ,   all the members are wealthy one groundskeeper told me one member stocks it out of his own pocket, i got a chance to meet the head groundskeeper one day in our store and i asked him any chance i could go fishing in there , he asked the big guy running the course and he told me i could go in on mondays when members arent present, unbelievable fishing  i went threw a bag of senkos in a hour  i caught ten nice bass 3 huge blugills and a northern pike on those senkos,almost a fish every cast , the only downsde is the course is open mon to business or other non member functions this pond is right alondside the last hole i literaly had golf balls landing all around me and in the water , those gotta hurt. aceman 387
