CRFisher Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Anyone look at this and is it useful? I stumbled across it and wasn't sure if it could be helpful, or whether it was overly generic. Quote
CRFisher Posted September 21, 2008 Author Posted September 21, 2008 http://www.weather.com/activities/recreation/outdoors/fishing/ I'm sure it's generic since it's not species specific. Quote
Jake. Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 I'm not going to let a bunch of meteorologists who can't even predict the weather correctly tell me when I should go fishing or not. Quote
Lambo6 Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 I typed in three different Locations , Louisiana , Maryland , and California ..... All three had pretty much the same exact graph itd be hard to tell the difference , All 3 peaked around 6 am and 6 pm which is a general rule of thumb Quote
Certified Public Angler Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 Whenever i go to weather.com I type in my zip code and I click on hour-to-hour. Then I go to hours I plan to be on the water and check for whether it will be cloudy, chance of rain, and mostly the wind MPH. Quote
Joel W Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 it's just the weather channel weather site. I use it periodically. No better then the rest as they still can't get the weather right. NOAA seems to be the most accurate. Quote

I was most interested in the "worst" times. Quote
CRFisher Posted September 21, 2008 Author Posted September 21, 2008 Like today, pretty much said pack it in between 9:00 and noon, I always thought the bite would be on until a little later than 9:00, but got diddley between 8:30 and 10:30 after a good early morning. Quote

The best time everyday is 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. To pick a specific "Best Time" it would be noon. 8-) Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted September 22, 2008 Super User Posted September 22, 2008 I like Wunderground.com . The forecasts are iffy, but the radar is updated every couple of minutes. Quote
SinDale Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Weather.com doesn't have lake Ontario on it? Huh.... 10-2 is a dead zone for bass up north from what I've seen, and I've been on the water for 30 years! They must be afraid of the sun up here, not that we get alot of it Quote
Super User Catt Posted September 22, 2008 Super User Posted September 22, 2008 The major periods are the first quarter new moon and the third quarter full moon. An hour and a half prior the moon reaching its apex & an hour and a half prior to the moon reaching its perigee. What many people don't consider is the moon does rise and set during daylight hours.
