My dad this summer caught a 5lber in a local PA state park lake. It looked as if it lost one of its eyes long before. It was the largest fish I have ever seen pulled out of the lake. She was doing just fine with one eye ;)

i was reading some book that talked about how important the lateral line is for fish.  I would imagine that this is more important than sight.  This would be true for lakes that are so muddy that you cant see 6 inches in front of you, like Arkabutla.
