GitRDoneIke23 Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 I'm sorry if this is the wrong spot to post. I couldn't think of where it would be better. I'm going to a pond today & tomorrow, where they have trophy sized bass. It's Catch & Release only, so if I catch a big one, I won't be able to keep it for mounting. I was wondering what I need to do to get a replica. Like what measurments to take, what pictures, etc. Also what are some rough estimates in prices, and do you have any reccomendations as to where to get it done. Thank's!! -Ike Quote
Still a Bigbuckifan Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Get the lenth and girth measurements. I would also take pictures from ever angle you can think of. The price range around $250 I think . Quote

NewScreenNameAdvised Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 My dad had a replica made and he told me for now on to keep a fabric tape measure in the boat...it helps with getting the girth. You could also just use fishing string around the fish and them measure on a tape measure. Quote
Jeff C. Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 Yes, a cloth sewing tape is the best.. they roll up small and fit in the box fine. measure your length,, girth and maybe get the height too. The pictures are used to get the colors and details of the fish to look as close to the original as poss. Good Luck on that BIG one. !! Jeff Quote
