Andrew Coleman Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 i have been fishing an area were i can catch atleast 5 or 6 a day. and thats a normal day, but now i do everything the same, and i can't produce any bass. the weather has gotten a little colder and it has been raining a lot. I thought that rain makes the water dirty, which causes the bass to go into shallower water, so i went to the shallows and still nothing. Can anyone help me with my dilema here? Quote
Super User senile1 Posted June 18, 2008 Super User Posted June 18, 2008 Andrew, you state that you are doing everything the same. Maybe you need to change your presentation or technique. Bass can become conditioned to lures. Give us some details on lures used and how you are fishing them. Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted June 18, 2008 Super User Posted June 18, 2008 Do something differant , change your techniques until you find out what they want. Learn to adapt. Quote
Andrew Coleman Posted June 18, 2008 Author Posted June 18, 2008 im using a 7 inch worm(motoroil) with a 1/16oz weight I slowly hop the worm back an usually they hit just like that. Quote
bkoguy07 Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 How big is this place you fish... size of the lake can determine the speed at which the fish become conditioned to certain lures.. Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted June 18, 2008 Super User Posted June 18, 2008 fish a different spot or fish with different lures. keep changing till you find something that works and stick with it till it stops working then try something new. Quote
Justin Mahaney Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 The bass could have been spawning when you were fishing them, possibly dragging the worm through the spawn nest? If you can be a little more specific on the location and lake size you are fishing im sure we could narrow it down a little. Try throwing a spinner bait or chatter bait around the area, its the best search party in my opinion Quote
Andrew Coleman Posted June 19, 2008 Author Posted June 19, 2008 well im really not sure one the size, but the place i fish at is off of lake st clair. and i fish around some docks, rip-rap, and seawalls Quote
