Bass XL Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Do a search. Their are a lot of night fishing topics. Quote
hawghunter1744 Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 my buddy caught a good one using a buzzbait at night. he said he couldnt see it coming along he just heard a big splash and hoped it was on his buzzbait so he set the hook and got him in. Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted June 11, 2008 Super User Posted June 11, 2008 I do not change much at night. I fish deeper water any way and the most changes are to lure size and always dark colors. I am not one to add rattles, I may slow down even more and fish larger diameter line. Quote
hawgchaser Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 I fish a lot of nights and I have 2 favorites. The first is a 3/4oz black colorado blade spinnerbait that is locally made, however the moon talker will work just fine. I throw this on flats, humps, and points. Throw it out there and let it hit the bottom..then slow roll it back to the boat and HOLD ON!! http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_51780_100006001_100000000_100006000_100-6-1 My second favorite is a 10" Tequila Sunrise Berkely Power Worm Tx Rigged. I like to throw this in thick cover. I have probably caught more 8lb plus bass on this technique at night then any other. My favorite times are from 10-2. It seems that the bite often slows right when the sunsets. Thats a good time to get off the water, grab some dinner, and tie on your night baits. Then get back at em around 10ish. Quote

I always start out on 7-10" finesse worm on a football jig. I always seem to end up on my jitterbug though. Quote
whistlepig Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 a black light would be helpful, use fluorescent line, and get you some type of light that will fit on the bill of youre hat Quote
Bamadan Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 I do a lot of night fishing on the Tennessee River(Guntersville and Wheeler lakes)and I normally go out on a brightly lit moonlit night and throw topwaters like the Devil's Horse,Tiny torpedo or a big Jitterbug all in black.I donot use any light which would interfere with my night vision. Super User Bankbeater Posted June 12, 2008 Super User Posted June 12, 2008 a black light would be helpful, use fluorescent line, and get you some type of light that will fit on the bill of youre hat X2. Its a mess trying to dig a backlash out in the dark. Quote
Super User Catt Posted June 12, 2008 Super User Posted June 12, 2008 Fish the same baits, same locations, and same techniques you would during the day. The only thing different I add to my repertoire at night is a Q-Beam! Quote
