Three or four times with one type of bait.

More if I believe they are under the dock or boat or brush or tree.

Will skip plastics and jigs and even crankbaits under docks.

Will also skip plastics and jigs and even crankbaits over and onto docks and boats and ropes and cables and into the trees and bushes and into the water with one big splash.

But I keep on skipping!!!!  ;D   ;D   ;D

BadKarma said it best , once yu have covered every area under the dock move on .. I have come behing anglers and pulled fish off docks because the didnt take ti the time to make sure got alllll the way to the back of dock ..alot of guys just hit from sides and in front and move on .. I start up front and work myself all the way to the back ..sometimes like 10+cast on one dock .. But I will say most of my biggest fish have come from doing this ..skipp on baby skipp on !! 8-)BBD

If I like the dock I'll throw a crank bait and/or spinner bait 3 or 4 times, then skip a jig n pig a few times, then a swim senko or brush hog a few times and finally a weightless senko.  I've caught as many as 5 or 6 fish off small docks doing this.
