Super User Gatorbassman Posted May 31, 2008 Super User Posted May 31, 2008 The fish that Fred Roumbanis pulled out of his livewell was the big fish for the entire Classic. Quote

Super User Gatorbassman Posted June 1, 2008 Super User Posted June 1, 2008 Iaconelli has written a few articles for us. Timmy Horton and I have discussed a few of the topics on here. I know by my conversations with Bob Lusk that Ray Scott checks us out from time to time. The fact is that they fish 6 days a week and travel the 7th. There isn't much time for the Internet but those who do spend time searching for information know who we are and have nothing but good things to say about the site. The feed back that we have gotten from them is that we stand above the crowd because of the size of the site, the information that it provides, and the quality of the forums members here. It's cool to walk up to some of the pros and have them recognize us. During the interviews we had admin from other bass forums there. It was interesting to see the difference in how the pros responded to them as apposed to us. Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted June 1, 2008 Super User Posted June 1, 2008 Oh, Bill Dance and Ray Scott were instrumental in helping us make the final decision on next years BassResource Road Trip. It took phone calls to them and Glenn was convinced. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted June 1, 2008 Author BassResource.com Administrator Posted June 1, 2008 This is true. Bill and Ray gave me some contact info and said a lot of good things about Kentucky lake. I think most of them knew about us. I think the only two who seemed to not know who we are were Rick Clunn and Forrest Wood. However, both said they didn't use the Internet much. So I'm sure they've been here once or twice, but just didn't remember. You have to remember, a lot of these guys had already spent a long day fishing, signing autographs, and doing interviews. So they were pretty tired. As for KVD - he had his game face on. I never saw his expression change during any of his interviews. On the women's side - they ALL were very familiar with BassResource.com, and were quite enthusiastic to speak to us. Unfortunately we didn't start taping this segment until after we met and did our interviews with them. Oh well, I'll be seeing them in September, so I'll get them then. Quote
guitarkid Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 I still think it is kind of funny to see the BI-LO center adn the Palmetto expo center on anything. BUT great vid I think it is pretty cool that we have the support of some of the biggest named out there. -searoach Quote
bocabasser Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 wow! that was impressive. regardless if they have ever visited this site or not, those guys were more than willing to give a shout out. that speaks volumes about what kind of fellas LBH, 5 bass limit, and glenn are. most pros would never give a shout like that to just any 'ol website. kudos gentleman!
