little_stephen Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 first of all. Ive seen a bass attack, obviously not eat, but attack....repeatedly, a full grown canadian goose. I was in a jonboat I had rented at my local rinkydick lake and a pack of geese were uplake from me, one strayed away and was eating up on the shallow flats by an old dock I like to fish, when outta nowhere the goose freaked, I look over and see a fish going back into the lake, a big one too(for ohio). The goose hung around, and got smacked three other times before it moved on. My best guess was it was trying to eat the fishes fry, because it was late spring. I was happy, freaking geese are pests up here. now, eat, probably a hornet that was buzzing my bobber once when I was fishing for bluegills. I switched to a plastic work REALLY quick! but to no avail. That bass must have been no more than a foot from my bait the whole time. :-/ Quote
JShrock07 Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 About 3 weeks ago I was out on the river and my buddy noticed about a 3-3.5 ft black snake swimming across the water. We hadn't been able to catch anything that day but as we watch the snake a hawg bass came up and grabbed the snake. I looked at my buddy in shock! Not a second went by and the snake was back on top of the water hualing a$$ to the shore when the bass slammed him again. I thought for sure the snake would be done but the snake got back up and got to the shore. It was with out a doubt the coolest thing I had seen out on the river in a long time! Quote
jiggerpole Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 Our baby ducks get eaten all the time. A friend of mine catches bass on hot dog winnies. ( Not sure what brand. ) Quote

Castamasta Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 caught one with out hooking it. the bass's tail was wrapped around my line Quote
Brian_Reeves Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 My beeper. It fell off of my belt when I lifted the trolling motor up and went into the water. I could see it spiraling down and it got ate and taken away by about probably a 2-3lb bass. Quote
bass wrangler569 Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 I don't know where I saw it (youtube maybe?) but it showed a bass eat a baby alligator. http://www.nothingtoxic.com/media/1171604763/Crazy_Fish_Eats_an_Unexpected_Animal x2 That was freakin' awesome!!! Quote
X-Rap Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Back when I fisrst started fishing a lot I took out one of my novice buddies (now pretty good) and he put a peice of chewed winterfresh gum on a 2/0 worm hook and caught a bass. Who'd of thunk it Quote
cpvenom Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Last year I saw a bass try to take a bluegill from a watersnake's mouth. That was pretty cool... Quote
SouthMiamiBassMan Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 1st- I caught a Myan Chiclid the size of my open hand and as I was reeling it in a bass "T Boned" it from the side. It was trying to eat it sideways but the chiclid was bigger than the bass's mouth could open, being it was half the size of the bass! I let out my line to see what would happen but the bass kept trying to swallow it side ways and take it into the deep. It was very cool to watch how determined that bass as to eat it. Eventually the chiclid unhooked itself ( or I tore its lip off) but the bass kept up after it. I don't know if the bass was successful or not but she was definatly hungry or really ticked. ;D 2nd- I was fishing from shore by some reads and I heard some splashing I look and there is a nice bass (2-3lbs) that looks like it was snagged on reed. I thought it could've been the fish that had gotten away earlier in the day and maybe the hook is what got snagged. :-/ So I take my shoe off and head into the muck to maybe save the fish. When I get to him he wasn't snagged but instead he was in a clear gallon ziplock bag! He must have gone in after some smallfish and and couldn't get out. He was the easiest bass I ever caught and if I didn't practice C&R he would've been bagged and ready to go. ;D Quote
Fish MD Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Their children....I mean what kind of father raises you for short period of time and then eats you one morning. What kind of therapy would it take to get over that? Seeing your brothers and sisters eaten by your father. Quote
