BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted May 8, 2008 BassResource.com Administrator Posted May 8, 2008 I got the pleasure of interviewing one of bass fishing's most entertaining and most popular pros at the 2008 Classic, Gerald Swindle. Here is the video. Enjoy! Quote
Big-O Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Great interview Glenn, Wish everyone who was interested in the Pro level would watch it. The boy not only explains but illustrates the passion, persistence, common sense, and enthusiasm required to make it in the business. He also shows the talent and work ethic required to not only maintain but be successful in that career choice. Hard work, Hard work, Hard work. Goes to show you that any and all of these guys rely on one thing to make them successful, THEMSELVES and their own commitment level. All of us know that he would be successful in any career with those qualities. BTW, you ask him some good questions to lead him into that great info and your timing wasn't too bad either. Looks like you got a little experience and commitment level yourself. Good Job. Big O www.ragetail.com Quote
Hawg Fan Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Definately Sugar land . Great Interview! Thanks, HawgFan Quote
Big Tom Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Thanks for the video. Swindle is one of my favorites. It was neat seeing the more serious side of him. I would like to see him win an Elite event soon. Quote
BassChaser57 Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Thanks Glen, That was a great interview. The Gman is a good guy to interview. Hopefully we will see more like this in the future. Quote
Super User Catt Posted May 8, 2008 Super User Posted May 8, 2008 Dude who did you not interview Quote
jiggerpole Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 You know. I understand exactly what G-man is talking about when he said get in the zone. I can go to any deer woods around and find the best place to put a stand or blind or spot and stalk, and will be in perfect tune with my surroundings and nature and have learned to trust my gut completely. I have been so close to whitetail bucks that it would blow your mind. NOW IF I could only learn how to do that on the water when it comes to Bass Fishing!!!!!!!!!!! On the water I'm lost sometimes and lack the confidence. I can catch fish but I am no where close to where I would like to be. Quote
Super User Jimzee Posted May 8, 2008 Super User Posted May 8, 2008 My favorite Pro Angler, the G-Man Without a doubt, one of the most cocky anglers on tour. Like him or not, he tells it like it is. I like the way he fishes, I like his attitude, the G-Man's coming for you. ;D Thanks Glenn. Quote
sodaksker Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Just another great interview. Thanks Glenn and Gerald. I felt like we were down in his basement just shooting the bull. Good Stuff. Glenn, you seem to have developed a good rapport with these guys that allows them to relax and tell it the waythey see it. Quote
Fishin247365 Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Great job Glenn! Gerald is a great fisherman and is equipped with a great personality. He'll be a force in professional bass fishing for many years to come. Always has something to say that makes a person laugh a little! Quote

Super User fishfordollars Posted May 9, 2008 Super User Posted May 9, 2008 Gerald is one of a kind. That might be a good thing to LOL. Quote
Cujo Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Nice work. It's cool to see and listen to these guys in a more relaxed atmosphere. You really get to understand them better and see what kind of person they really are. Thanks again guys Quote
GStrider Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Great interview Glenn. You brought out how Gerald really is: down-to-earth bass fisherman who has a passion for the outdoors. Quote
Bass XL Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 That whas great! I think it's the first person to NOT mention KVD! Quote
JerseyBassin Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 good interview, learned some stuff like the question about the rule change, made me laugh because it seemed like he'd been waiting a long time for someone to ask him that i agree there shouldn't be practice, however it wont' stop people from paying off local pros for hot spots. Super User senile1 Posted May 14, 2008 Super User Posted May 14, 2008 This interviewee provided more information than any so far. Kudos to Gerald Swindle. Thanks, Glenn. Quote
Bassnbrett101 Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 Thanks alot for the Interview guys. It was really informative and I already decided to buy the book thats coming out! Thanks again, Brett Quote
lknbassman Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 Best one so far Glenn. His insight and tell it like it is approach makes him one of the most sought after BASS pros from a fan stand point. It's easy to see why he's so successful marketing himself, he's very believable because he's simply telling the truth. That was really a pleasure to watch and I can't help but pull for him whenever he's in the field. Quote
