I am now down 3 issues, March, April, and May.  I've called them 4 times and each time they assure me that my membership is valid until May of 2009 and they don't know why I'm not receiving my magazines.  I've checked with the post office to see what's the deal and they tell me that it's obvious they're not sending them or they'd be in my P.O. box.  I've also made sure that Bassmaster has my current P.O. box address, which they do.  They said they'd put a trace on my magazines, but the post office says that can't be done through them for something like that (no idea how that's gonna work then).

The best that Bassmaster said they can do is re-issue them and it'll take 4 weeks to receive them.  BY THEN THE SPRING FISHING WILL BE OVER AND I WON'T NEED THOSE ISSUES FOR TIPS!!!!  They said they could send me some "used" copies from their office, issues that other readers had returned that "weren't in the best condition but still readable".  Those will mail out today according to them and I'll have them in a week.  That's only March and April though, which those months are now over!!!! :( >:(  What am I supposed to do??  I had to threaten to cancel my subscription to get them to do even that much!!!!

I'm about to do that anyway.  Sign up for Bassin' magazine instead.  What a pile o' shiyat for them to treat me this way after I've been a member for years and renew it for at least 2 years at a time each time I do it.  It burns me up that the May issue is in stores now and I still don't have mine when normally I'll receive the coming month's issue in the middle of the previous month.  The last magazine I got was the Pro Guide they sent out right before the Classic tournament in early February!!!

I have been a subscriber since they started and have never had an issue. Sounds to me like it is someone in the post office, a neighbor, or the postman that may like your issues.

I havent had any problems receiving my issues, but if you are concerned about missing the tips you can always go to BASSMASTERS section on ESPN.com

No complaints from me

x2, I would wait before going to Bassin though. There was a post about them a couple of months ago. Some members wasn't to pleased with them.

Why be mad at BASS about something that happened with the USPS?  Methinks you're barking up the wrong tree.

The only time I ever had any problem is when I first signed up.  It took about a month to get my magazines and my membership information. Once I started getting them though they have been here every time, right on time.

Yep, I didnt get any of my regular Bassmaster issues last year. Turns out they were sending them to 1580 ....St instead of 158....St like they were supposed to.

I did however get every issue of Bass Times right on schedule. Explain that one......Bassmaster couldn't.  ;D

I used to have the same problem getting it.  I haven't had a single problem since I cancelled my sub   ;D  Who needs them when there's BR!

Yeah, I'm about to have to agree with that one.  Since I started coming here I can ask a question and get 40 responses in the run of a single day.  In Bassmaster if I want to know something I have to wait until I get lucky enough for them to do an article on it.

I borrowed some Bassin' magazines from a buddy of mine and I like what I see.  They seem to be written for the everyday fisherman about everyday techniques.  Bassmaster seems to be a lot of tournament related stuff with a few articles containing fishing tips.  Only thing I don't really like about Bassin' is that you only get 7 issues per year instead of 11 like with Bassmaster.  But from what I see, there's more to read in those 7 that I want to read about.  It's cheap enough, I'll probably just have both memberships if I can get the Bassmaster problem sorted out.

My problems with BM Mag ended two years ago when I canceled my subscription. I have just about everything I need right here for free.

Yes - I am going throught the same thing - not getting the magizines - -This is the exact reason I cancelled my subscription several years ago. But last year I broke down and figured I'd give it another try - and AGAIN they boned me. Despite calls And Letters - last time and this time - They just can't seem to get me the magizine - and truth be told - the attitude of every BASS staff member I deal with is completly apathetic - like they really couldn't be bothered. So - shame on me for not learning my lesson the first time - and Congradulatrions to B.A.S.S. for 40 years of what ever it is you do ???? :-/

Yeah everytime I call I get that same attitude.  Like they're just doing their job and that's all.  Monotone, wish I was somewhere else, sounding voice on the other end of the line.

I don't think they're getting stolen from my box though cause it's a P.O. box and it's locked.  Only people who could do that would be the postal employees.  Not that that can't ever happen.  Just that the Postmaster has assured me that it's not even remotely likely cause it's a felony if they get caught stealing mail.

And since several other people have had the same problem with the same magazine then I'm thinking that it's BM's fault somehow.

Another problem I have with them though is that they waited until I threatened to cancel before even offering to send me some copies they had in their office.  They'd rather let me wait 4 weeks on each issue from the time they tell the printers to reissue it again until I get it.  And if I have to call each month then I'll be getting that month's issue at the end of the following month.  Just too much hassle to have to deal with this.  I don't even get all that much enjoyment out of the magazine.  It's not the magazine I remember from 10 years ago......too much focus on tournaments and stuff.  I like Bassin' much better so I'm just gonna switch and be done with it.  There's several other magazines out there for bass fishing also.  Field and Stream, In-Fisherman, and so on.  I could get a few subscriptions, not a lot of money involved really, probably $50 per year for 4 different ones, and have plenty to read.

Well, I still have yet to recieve the May issue also, and now by my count it's really passed due cause I usually receive the magazine 2 weeks early before the month it's for.  So this problem was resolved today when I called and cancelled my membership.  They're sending me a refund for the remaining year that I still had coming, plus the three previous months' magazines that I never received.  I'm still even waiting on those "used" copies they were supposed to send out to me last Friday (from the call I made last Tuesday).  I told them it doesn't take a week to mail something anywhere in the lower 48 states and I'm just tired of the issue of this so refund me and cancel me out.

I was a member since 1974.  Said screw it last year.  It was the same rehashed, recycled stuff over and over.
