I saw before where it was suggested that next years Road Trip would be at Lake Kentucky.  I thought I might suggest Lake Amistad or Falcon Lake.  I've been keeping up with the Elite tournament that's going on this week and weekend on Falcon Lake and the fish they are catching are just amazing.

Anyway I just thought I would throw my 2 cents in there.  Also you guys can tell me to go stick it since I signed up for the Guntersville trip this year and wasn't able to make it.

Now see, a Texas lake I might've been able to pull off. Too much going on in our business to take off long enough for Kentucky (or Georgia).  :(

Kentucky?

It's the last reservoir on the Tennessee River before emptying into the Ohio River.

Or probably anywhere else but Texas... ::)

There are multiple problems with trying to get a Texan to fish anywhere other than Texas.

1. Their egos will not allow them to admit that there is any purdier place than Texas.

2. Their ignorance will not allow them to admit that lakes outside of Texas also produce big bass.

3. Their huge belt buckles set off too many security alarms.

4. They can't understand why other states will not permit the use of dynamite or shotguns when bass fishing.

5. Since everything is bigger and better in Texas, it becomes much too expensive to tow their 32' Bullet boats with quad 200 hp engines to any lake more than twelve miles from home.

6. Their Parole Officers will not allow them to leave the state.

I'm sure there are other reasons why Texans so are reluctant to fish outside of the Lone Star state. Other members, feel free to chime in. ;D ;D ;D

It wasn't suggested, it was announced.  We're going the 3rd week in April '09.

See you there!

So do you guys know if you will be fishing mainly on the Kentucky side or Tennessee side?

Yes!  :)

Well, maybe if we bribe the Texans they will show.

How 'bout Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboy's cheerleaders!

It will be like an "away game".

GeorgiaBass.  Could you please be so kind as to re-post your response in a language that adults can understand?
