hjerk24 Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 That's good advice fishin_fool. Could you imagine a day with KVD, IKE, or Skeet Reese? I personally would love to rock out with the G-Man for a day. Great advice. Quote
vtbassin Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 I don't have the resume that the bass coach probably has but I would be happy to take you out on Champlain for a day sometime late spring or summer. When are you going to be in the area? Quote
CTBASS Posted March 27, 2008 Author Posted March 27, 2008 I would like to thank everyone who replied to this post. I thought that there was so much good advice on this post. I already sent in my deposit, just before I posted it. I should have asked before I did so but that is my lost. I am going to go anyway and find out how it is. I wil post my experiences and findings when I get back. I am going on May 26,27 & 28. One thing I did not mention is that he has writen articals on this web site and also the PROBASS web site. The teacher's name is Roger L Brown aka ( The Bass coach). Thank you all so very much and I will be asking qustions and posting on this web for years to come. THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : :) Quote
Cory20 Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 Good luck Bass Novice, be sure to bring a notebook and a pen. For the nay sayers, I don't know what Randall, George, and whomever else guides from BR rates are. I'm not asking either. A quick google search has shown an average price of 375$ for 8 hours of guide services. This comes out to 1,125 $ for three days. Roger Brown is asking 1,200$ for three days. Roger Brown is an established guide/coach on a great fishery. What's an extra 75 bones if you're making that kind of investment on a fishing trip anyways? Quote

vtbassin Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 I bet you will learn a lot and have a great time with the coach. Let us know how it goes. If you want to go out later in the summer PM me. I do not live far form Champlain. Maybe you could show me some of the coach's techniques Quote
bassmedic46 Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 I'm new to fishing and I've learned a lot from the people at BR, I don't think you can learn that much in 3 days a lot of variables with fishing no water is the same. I've found that you have to just get out there and find your own style. Quote
Bassin4Life55 Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 If you want to learn, anything you can pick up will be beneficial but sometimes the best learning is just experience. Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted April 1, 2008 Super User Posted April 1, 2008 Research this site for 3 days instead. You'll learn more from the articles and posts here and have $1200 left to buy some NICE rods, reels and tackle. There are lots of guys here (me included) that would be more than happy to talk shop with you and teach you the basics. All you have to do is ask! Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted April 1, 2008 Super User Posted April 1, 2008 Two words for ya... HELL NO! I'll meet you anywhere in S. Florida for a week and teach you plenty to get you started for , lets say $800? I'll supply ALL tackle, rods, reels Quote
