Super User Catt Posted March 25, 2008 Super User Posted March 25, 2008 Pull into a cove, pull up on structure, or pull up to a boat dock and get the lunatic smile come across your face while having that little voice in the back of your head say They're Here. One trip a few years back a friend and I had fished all night long putting 14 straight hours on the water with out the slightest bump. The next night with one of my sons along side I pulled up between two boat docks and while lowering the trolling motor that sparkling glint of silver caught my eye. I look over at Garrett whispering They're Here; we proceeded to slay em all night lone with almost every bass in the 3 to 4 pound range. Quote
Super User Raul Posted March 25, 2008 Super User Posted March 25, 2008 Pull into a cove, pull up on structure, or pull up to a boat dock and get the lunatic smile come across your face while having that little voice in the back of your head say They're Here. Oh yeah. But it wasn 't some sort of divine revelation or inspiration, after so many years I think that you process the information you are receiving so fast without noticing it ( putting together the pieces of the puzzle ) that it does feel like you hear a little voice telling you they are there. Bob Kavanaugh Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Nope. For me, it's usually "Where the f*** are they?" Quote
Irrelevant Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Pull into a cove, pull up on structure, or pull up to a boat dock and get the lunatic smile come across your face while having that little voice in the back of your head say They're Here. I have a similar mindset whenever I start a day on the water, even when the past three outings have produced nothing. I just always get the feeling right before I grab my rod before my first cast, but... Nope. For me, it's usually "Where the f*** are they?" ...this is how a lot of days end up. And I'll do it all over again the next time I get skunked. ;D Quote
Bassnbrett101 Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 i love it when you find that perfect spot and you know it, i hate searching for it Quote
John J. Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Yep, and I also have those casts that feel and seem PERFECT! And you are just anxious for a bass to nail it! Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Just told thid one the other day. Fishing with Dirk, we approached an area that has a huge rock in the middle. For some reason, it never holds fish, hasn't for yrs and still doesn't. But this one day, we pull in and I say to Dirk...."There's one on each side of the rock, you want the right or the left?" No answer so I cast right. FISH I get him in real quick (small guy) and said "are you gonna be stubborn or do you want the other one?" No reply Cast again-left FISH. We've caught 1 fish there since then. Odd rock that one is, but something was telling me those fish were there that day. Quote
brgbassmaster Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 I love it when that happens. usually it happens every cast that i make i think that, but thats just confidence. thats the reason that we all spend so much time researching books, magazines, and watching DVDs or fishing shows. just for that moment when we get to get out on the water. No, but I have gotten the feeling that they are sitting on the bottom looking up at the boat and having a good laugh. Quote
Yakfish Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 They're Here; we proceeded to slay em all night lone with almost every bass in the 3 to 4 pound range. No but I sure would like to! No, but I have gotten the feeling that they are sitting on the bottom looking up at the boat and having a good laugh. That I can relate to! Quote
ba7ss3in Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Yeah, a friend and I share secrets on this lake and he showed me a great one last year and I'm waiting for it to start this year. The early morning frog bite is unreal. Can't say anymore, people maybe watching. Quote

BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted March 27, 2008 BassResource.com Advertiser Posted March 27, 2008 After fishing Kissimmee over 40 times last year my son and I finally figured out a pattern. Certain conditions, wind, cloud cover, temp, time of day, we just look at each other and say "it's time to hit the spot". Last month the "spot" produced a 4 #er with 30 min left in a tourney....it's funny that without that "feeling" of it's time, we can't catch a cold there.... Quote
txbass1 Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 been a long time since I felt that, but I still remember it!!! Quote
paul. Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 this happened to me yesterday as a matter of fact. when it did, i remembered your post catt. i was having to work hard just to produce a few small fish and then, the minute i saw this one cove, i just new it - they were in there. knew exactly what they'd want too for some reason, even though it was a pretty obscure bait choice. sure enough, went in there and tore 'em up. even though none were much over 2 pounds, it was a blast.
