flyphisher # Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 compound bow , frog gig and spear gun are always on my front deck. Quote
flyphisher # Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 the old telephone trick works well also...... it can be shocker though :-[ Quote
sweetbeev Posted March 20, 2008 Author Posted March 20, 2008 how could i forget the cast net........gets em everytime Quote
flyphisher # Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 I agree.... Dynamite is an under-utilized weapon for tough sight fishing conditions. Plus you dont waste any on dead water. if all else fails and you got the time, there is always rotenone.. Quote
sweetbeev Posted March 20, 2008 Author Posted March 20, 2008 you seem to know what your talking about fly..............if you can find a secluded shoreline during a tournament a long gill net is killer, you and your partner span a shoreline, say 100 ft. and just push those babies up onto land..........foolproof Quote
flyphisher # Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 hell yeah, a gill net or a kick sein is great in spawning coves and such.... gets them all on the bank so you can sort them out .... Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted March 20, 2008 Super User Posted March 20, 2008 no takers, hell i prefer a snag hook its worked well for me so far. TROLL Quote
flyphisher # Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 big difference in trolling and sarcasm..... Quote
Joel W Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 I bed fish with immediate C & R. Personal favorite lures are 4 & 5 inch stickbaits wacky rigged. 4 inch tubes with a 1/8 oz internal wt, a 6 inch Lizard, and a 4 inch Ugly Otter or similar type creature bait. Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Tubes, lizards, spark plugs, cigarette butts, whatever you got. In my opinion, it's much more about boat positioning, presentation, dedication, knowing the behaviorisms of the spawn cycle and focus than "what" you are dropping in there. big difference in trolling and sarcasm..... It's not your M.O. we are concerned with, but thanks for clarifying Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 you guys sound like pros! If you have nothing to offer other than instigation, please limit yourself to "reading",........ or I'll do it for you. Your call Quote
