Shad_Master Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 What makes a jig a "finesse" jig? Is it just the size/weight? Or is there some other component to it? Quote
SteveF Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 A finesse jig will typically have a lighter weedguard, a lighter wire hook and it will also be of 1/4 oz or less and be made with less strands to produce a smaller profile. My favorite finesse jig was the Terminator Tiny T Jig, however when I could no longer get them I switched to the Spro K-Finesse and it has worked out fine. The Strike King Bitsy Bug is tough to beat for the price and the only down side is the hook in my opinion. Take care, Steve Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Finesse can be different to each person. Someone that always throws 1oz jig and downsizes to 1/2 could be considered finesse. Anyway, finesse jigs are just smaller profile and typically lighter weight. Quote
