Super User Alpster Posted March 18, 2008 Super User Posted March 18, 2008 I was going to post this on the road trip thread, but I was afraid too many members would miss it. If you have been keeping up with the trip plans you will know that all the members going have been knocking themselves out and going the "extra mile" for each other so that everyone's plans have worked out. Members have paid for each others dinners and moved their room arrangements around to make room for others. Driving out of their way for airport rides. Sharing their boats, you name it. It has been pretty amazing for me to be a part of it all. I have to tell you about one particular mook who is not going on the trip, something about being 'hen pecked' I'm not sure about all the details. Dominick the 'Muddy Man' has spent a sizable pocket full of coins and considerable time making his 'now famous' meatballs & gravy for the guys who are going to Guntersville! Speedbead met him somewhere in the middle of PA this evening to get the food for he & I to haul to Alabama and they both had to drive a couple of hours to get that part done (thanks Wayne). I don't care how you slice it, this is one amazing, generous thing to do for us and I want to be sure to shout out a HUGE THANKS! to Dominick for going way beyond the call of duty. You are the one and only DUKE OF MOOK! Thank you Dominick! Ronnie Quote
Guest muddy Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 Hey Ronnie and all your welcome. no big deal. Finances and a commitment to go on vacation with Elaine kept me from this one and considering all the support many gave to my little project it is my way of thanking each and every one of you. I love cooking for friends and family. Wayne and Ronnie please keep an eye on your PM's tommorow I left the recipie for the sauce on my kitchen table. Hey Risk Kid, Speedbead has a little sumpin sumpin for you too Please all arrive safe and have fun 8-) Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 So Dom, did you get your fridge back?? ;D Way to go, keeping that tradition going ya mook. Quote
Super User Tin Posted March 18, 2008 Super User Posted March 18, 2008 Your the man mudster. By gravy do you mean red/meat sauce? :-? Quote
Guest muddy Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 This is one big argument going on forever in South Brooklyn> Some call it all sauce in my family and many once you put meat in it it is called GRAVY! Attsa Nice!!!!!!!!! Now finally i can go grocery shopping now that the fridge is empty once more : Quote
Super User Tin Posted March 18, 2008 Super User Posted March 18, 2008 Calling it gravy I can deal with, but some in my family call it dressing. Dressing goes on salad, not pasta, chicken, and veal. : Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted March 18, 2008 Super User Posted March 18, 2008 You Mooks will never learn. If the gravy is white, it's gravy. If the gravy is red, it's sauce. I teach this at "Long Mike's School of Cajun Cuisine and Varmit Riddin." ;D ;D ;D Quote
Guest muddy Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 Hey Answer your freakin cell phone Mr.Cajun ;D Quote
