I think Bassmaster is the best.  I like In Fisherman and Bassin (not as many issues but good).

I went to Ebay and was able to find great deals on them.

Bassin' is an awesome publication but yes it does have a shortage of issues like others have stated.  However Hank Parker, Mike Iaconelli, KVD, and others give you valuable information on baits and techniques in there.  Great stuff in my opinion.  They also just put out a 50 best baits list in their winter issue (you can find at Walmart), that one was pretty good as well for those of you who want to revisit the bait monkey.

I don't read any other mag right now but am always looking for another good one.  My dad is a member of bass so when I'm at his place I glance over those issues.

In-Fisherman, although not nearly as good as it once was (since the Lindners sold it), is still the best and most informative fishing publication out there.  The articles are well written, cover a variety of fish species, and have great graphics.

I just miss the days when it was like a medical journal, cover to cover it was so well done.  I guess though for $10 a year they had to make cuts somewhere.

I highly recommend their special issues:  ice fishing, bass fishing, walleye.  Those special publications still have the same magic.

For newer ideas, try some west coast mags.     normally any new style inroduced into the US comes from Japan and via the west coast.

Check out Gary  Yamamotos Inside Line or Bass West.

Most magazines have the same articles reproduced and re-written over and over again.

With that being said, I have been reading Bassmasters for 30+ years and any other reading material about bassing and outdoors.

The west coast mags are normally the first ones to come out with fresh ideas.  Also, they will cover swimbaits better than any other publications.

Hope this helps.   You can never read too much of anything.

I like Bassin'.I also like to pick up local or state specific magazines too.(woods-n-water,Fish and Game, etc,)

Gary Yamamoto's Inside Line is now defunct.  They printed their last issue in December and the infomation is now only available online.

I think Bassin gives you more fishing information than Basssmaster but I get both.

I really like Bassin, but they suck at getting their issues out... I subscribed in DEC. of 2006 and I got 2 issues...then all of a sudden it stopped. Now just recently, I've just started getting them again. I don't know what the problem is.

Bass Times is great too.

It seems like that....i bought the december issue in a store about a week ago...

usually, magazines are a month ahead..

Bassmasters for articles like the "Day on the lake" and tour info.

Bassin for "how to" type articles and tackle reviews.

FLW for indepth articles on fishing locations and different baits.

The internet and forums like this are my #1 source of information though.

I recently subscribed to BassMaster and i'm very impressed, it has many tips relating to the time of season u are reading the magazine in and lots of product info. I would recommend it to anyone who loves to learn more about bass fishing

Ditto.

I don't subscribe to any but when I go to Wal-Mart or Barnes and Noble I will usually pick up one of these.

I get the normal Bassmaster, BassTimes,FLW Outdoors, and BassWest and they are great.  BassWest has become my favorite since I really feel that they cater towards the really serious fishermen instead of the whole spectrum of beginner to expert.  BassWest is written like I would write my own magazine.
