llPa1nll Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 Hey Everyone, I was just sitting here at the office. As you all know its the middle of February and there is a good 10inches of ice out on the lake and right now its snowing out. I was wondering if anyone listened to any informative fishing podcasts or anything along those lines? Anyway Im just trying really hard to beat cabin fever. I was just wondering if there was a Podcast on fishing that was really informative on tips tactics and techniques. Thanks in advance. :) Quote
Wesley Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 www.bassfeed.com take out the spaces it wont let me post a link since I am new. There are some good podcasts there. Quote
BassinWill301 Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 Yes i listen to Bassfeed and also Bass Edge, these are really informative. also Ultimate bass radio. Quote
Ballpark Frank Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 BassFeed is where I found out about the BR when Low_Budget_Hookers did an interview and mentioned the BR. I like BassEdge and another site on XM(they put some podcasts out). Quote
Irrelevant Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 Man, this is great. I listen to podcasts to get me through long nights at work. I have technology podcasts, paranormal podcasts, and now I will have fishing podcasts. Thanks for posting these. Quote
Chode2235 Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 FishingMinnesota.com also has a pretty good one. I t is MN specific. Quote
Rob G. Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 A guy I know from tourneys has a pod cast. www.blackwaterbassin.com Quote
WIII-60 Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 another siteradio.com It's wmv files so you'll have to have a player. Not really a podcast but it has all of the old interviews archived. Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted February 8, 2008 Super User Posted February 8, 2008 i have two podcasts on my ipod, bass feed and bass edge, i havent updated them in a long time but i find them pretty boring. i'd rather listen to my music than a podcast. Quote
Ken Warren Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 A guy I know from tourneys has a pod cast. Thanks for the mention of my podcast Black Water Bassin'. While I admit mine isn't so polished as some of the big shows I do the best I can on a shoe string budget. I don't really plan on covering the tours like other shows. I'd like to keep a Midwest focus, although this time of year that is hard to do. I want to discuss things of interest to the weekend tournament anglers. So stop by and listen. I am in process of revamping the show after several month of not being able to have interview due to technical issues. Also, if you have anything to announce just drop me a line. Also, the URL is not as clear as I'd like. I can't post link appearently but if you search for Black Water Bassin it will come up. It is also available on iTunes or Podcast Alley. Quote

I haven't listened to yours yet, but if it makes you feel any better, I know a lot of folks who actually prefer a little lack of polish, myself included. It makes the hosts seem like real people just doing what they love without a lot of flash; it's like listening to a bunch of buddies. Quote
sean_rohde Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 There are a bunch of good ones there. I think it is a great resorce to use my ipod on the way to the lake or to work, I drive 80 miles a day just to work, and BassFeed and others really are great. Back before ipods, I would burn interviews on audio CD's. My 6 cd changer in my truck still has 6 cd's full of bass fishing. Now I can listen to bass fishing nonstop no repeated bass fishing content, no cd burning, and new episodes all the time. Ken yours is great too. Quote
sean_rohde Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Vote if you listen or not to bass fishing related podcasts! Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 Bassfeed. Billy is always looking for new subjects so if there is something you think needs to be covered, drop him a note and it will get serious consideration. Quote

sean_rohde Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 Being an anolog man in a digital world please can you youngsters answer this WHAT THE is a PODCAST? I am feeling so vulnerable at this moment Its usually a free audio recording of specific content, I have my own, its just fun to do, and listen to other guys podcasts like Black Water Bassin on my MP# player on the way to the lake. If you do not have an ipod, or mp3 player, you can burn them on cd for your truck. Check out itunes or search for one on google.com, I csnt advertise mine here so I dont want to give you a specific link, but a google search for "bass fishing podcast" will help you. You can also find that you can just click on the recording to listen on your computer. Quote
bassdocktor Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 Thanks for this post guys. I never really listened to any before today. Gives me something better for my ride to school. Quote
