Super User senile1 Posted January 24, 2008 Super User Posted January 24, 2008 fish 4 fun a lot . . . and another fish 4 fun a lot. Quote
KevO Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 I fish for fun a lot... I am wanting to get into a club and fish tournaments though. Just to see what its really like. Quote
Fishin-Psyantist Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 I fish for fun too but I think most of us are fooling ourselves because its probably more of an addiction with fun involved. I would like to go as a ride along with someone on a fishing tournament sometime just to see how things are done because I have never been to one. Quote
=Matt 5.0= Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Fish for fun alot. I think I went out every weekend last year from March to late October.... Quote
Evan Pease Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 I fish for fu...a lot but once I get my license I plan on fishing competatively. Quote
BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted January 25, 2008 BassResource.com Advertiser Posted January 25, 2008 I fish 25+ tourneys last year mostly local but these "local" tourneys draw 60-80 boats with payouts up to 5K. I don't know exactly how many days I was on the water last year but it was over 150. I'm keeping track of it this year. Since my whole family loves to fish, unless I am working or at a kid ballgame, I'm on the water. Quote
ejtaylor822 Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Fish for fun, a lot - as much as I can. Would be fun to do tourneys, I think, but afraid it might take the fun out of it at some point. Quote
fishingfourfun Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 The job and family obligations do not allow me to fish alot. I hope to have more time to fish this year! Quote
Super User Jeff H Posted January 26, 2008 Super User Posted January 26, 2008 Fish for fun. Usually 3 weekends a month and several 4-5 day trips over the summer. Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted January 26, 2008 Super User Posted January 26, 2008 I quit tournament fishing quite some time ago but everytime I hit the water it is like a tournament. I can't sleep the night before and it takes me at least 30 min. to get over the jitters when I get to a fishing spot. Every trip is competition even if I am the only one in the boat. I have never fished for relaxation. That is for when I get home and get all the equipment put away. Quote
garry77 Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 Fish for fun alot...but I have fished some local club txs.Mostly just donated my 25 bucks though. Quote
DaHorns Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 I fish for fun.....ALOT! I try to get out and fish twice a week. I love it and is the best way for me to wind down after a rough day/week at work. I know y'all know what I mean. Me and my buddy try to do some tourneys as well, but thats maybe 5-6 a year. Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted January 26, 2008 Super User Posted January 26, 2008 Absolutely for fun. Alot and not enough. Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted January 26, 2008 Super User Posted January 26, 2008 i fish for fun alot. cannot stand tournament fishing. just my opinion and i guarentee lots of people will disagree but i think that tournament fishing takes the fun out of things. youre under so much pressure to catch the biggest for money. i dont think thats right. i think fishing should be a relaxing fun hobby, which is why if you ask me who's my favorite fisherman i would say something like bill dance or hank parker, because they arent in the tournament trail, they just fish for leisure. but hey thats just me, to each his own. Quote
Jake. Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 I fish mostly just for fun, every now and then a tourny, Quote
Super User RoLo Posted January 28, 2008 Super User Posted January 28, 2008 I fish strictly for "enjoyment", but NOT to relax. I take my fishing much too seriously to even think about relaxing. Plenty of time for that after day is done Roger Quote
Mattlures Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 I marked fishing is my living but its bait selling, not the actual fishing. I to fish for fun but my fun is in results and I am extremly competetive. Ints not tournaments but its similar. We know who is sticking big fish and cool to be the hot stick. Of course where I live I am fishing against world class trophy hunters so Its prety rare that I am up there with them. Quote
Guest avid Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 I fish for fun........alot and fight a losing battle with the bait monkey on a daily basis. Quote
Patrick5874 Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Im looking for a canoe to do what I love to to do "Fish for fun, Alot " Quote

Maybe you can run the poll again in a few months, but add something about guiding. thanks for the poll. Quote

I guess I didn't think about part time guides though. Quote
