Red Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 ok i know what pitching is...but what exactly is flipping? maybe a video of someone flipping a bait? thanks Cliff Quote
Guest muddy Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Check the articles out on the upper left hand side THEY ARE EXCELLENT: here is a thread taht answers your question http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/flipping_pitching_fishing.html Quote
Super User Sam Posted February 13, 2008 Super User Posted February 13, 2008 Remember, you take the line in your hand and form a "F" shape figure wehn flipping. Denny Brauer's book or video, Jig Fishing Secrets, is an excellent learning tool for pitching and jigging. Quote
JayDub Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Pitching, you start with the bait in your hand, Flipping is pulling out line between the reel and the first guide with your opposite hand (hand not holding the rod), and "flipping" the bait to your target then releasing the line in your hand. WIII-60 Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 the december or january issue (it says "20 best tips ever") of bassin' has an article on the different applications of both and tutorials on how to do them. Quote
Guest avid Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 flipping is what you do when you see a really hot girl. Pitching is when you start the smooth moves. striking out is what usually comes next. Score is if you get lucky. courtesy of avid's famous fishing and the "Love Doctor" Quote
Red Posted February 14, 2008 Author Posted February 14, 2008 thanks...actually avid was the only one who had any info that helped ;D thanks Cliff Quote
Olebiker Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 If you ever have the chance to watch Denny Brauer give a demonstration of pitching and flipping, jump on it. I watched him at the Bass Pro Shop in Nashville a couple of weeks ago and learned more in 30 minutes than I could have imagined. Quote
