It's funny how things differ from place to place. Down here in Texas we dont seem to catch the numbers of fish but the size is much bigger. I am not happy if I fish and dont catch at least one around 5, but a 20 fish day would be a real good one. Sounds like a lot of ya'll catch 30+ easy but may not have the size. Weird...

It really depends where I'm fishing if its a big lake and I'm targeting bigger fish then 5-8 is a solid day. If Im fishing a pond then ill expect 30 fish or so.

It deppends when and where. Usually, my goal is a limit of keepers. that's a good day. If at least one is 3+lb, it's a great day. If I just catch some, it's OK.

I hate SKUNKS.

their are so many variables. It seems that the older I get, the more and more I enjoy a great weather day, on a beautiful lake, with little to no boat traffic..... Fish or no fish.

Then, once in a while I might go somewhere like Clear Lk, not expecting to catch a DD, but if I catch like 15 bass, from 4 to 8 lbs each (or say 15 fish, for 70 lbs), that would be a good trip

But say its windy, and / or people in my way, and / or a mud-hole of a lake..... or in other words, where "the catching is everything" then yea' a single fish over 10 lbs makes it all worth it. A "teener" is even better. A 15 plus is like Whooo Hoooo ! :-)

Peace,

Fish

Even one 3# is good but on average 40-60 smallies is good for the day
