garry77 Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 Just wondering if anyone could give me a little insight on the art of skipping a bait.(under boat docks low limbs etc.)For example what rod and reel setup is good? What technique?I've tried my best take on how to do it with mixed results. Quote

Super User T-rig Posted January 24, 2008 Super User Posted January 24, 2008 Use a spinning setup. Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 It's not much, there will be a much better one made this yr. Quick vid Quote
Peter E. Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 definately argreeing with T-Rig, spinning gear is where its at. The type of bait that you try to skipp has alot to do with the success or failure of your attmpts. I alwas try to go with lures that are like one peice. I go with soft plastics and so on, the lighter the lure the more affective, also the way you cast makes a big difference. Just keep in mind being a kid and skipping rocks. Peter Quote
Super User Alpster Posted January 24, 2008 Super User Posted January 24, 2008 Russ's video is right on. Nothing skips like a tube or a Fat Ika. Ronnie Quote
Super User burleytog Posted January 24, 2008 Super User Posted January 24, 2008 Spend an hour fishing SML with fivebasslimit. He skips like a 6 year old girl on crack. Quote
