Iam looking at getting a jon boat this summer. Well theres a part of the river were me and my buddy would fish all the time. We could always get a lot of pike on spooks or frogs. We would also get them and smallies on spinners. But these spots are are very hard to get to. One looks like its perfect duck hunting land. The other we would be in 14 incehs of water pushing the boat back to your spot. These spots look like they have never seen a human. We would get laughed at all the time becasue we were were you wouldnt see a 18 ft lund. But two year later will they still produce fish?

Dude I'm fishing many of the same spots on every body of water that I've fished for 35-40 years; if an area has everything necessary to support a population of bass it rarely just disappears.

Ditto.  In 20 yrs, we have found some of the real estate that only the big girls will own.  We have caught the same fish consistently though the yrs and have watched them age, die off and be replaced by the next up coming big girl.

Just like with humans,.....quality real estate is always in demand

Ditto, Quality spots will always produce!!

Usually though quality spots come with quality company! It's hard to hide good spots in lakes anymore.

I use to wade a lot in rivers growing and we found this back water area where no one fished man was it loaded with bass and snakes!! As far as dragging your boat to get there, in my poor experiences every time I really did some off the wall stuff to get to a "secret" spot it never paid off ie...purposely half sunk a boat to get under the only bridge in a flooded flat, ran full speed over a sand bar flat to get up the "secret" part of the river, almost tearing the prop off on stumps to get up the "secret" part of the river, and many more!!

To loosely quote Buck Perry "unless a body of water dries up or change dramatically, your grandchildren should enjoy the very same 'spots' that you have found productive."
