secretlakes Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 I thought it might be fun for everyone to share photos of thier favorite lake/pond/river that you frequent the most. I kind of feel attached to my lake and want to share it with you. I catch some of the nicest looking fish here of pretty good size. Google earth is a good way to get a good shot of the spot or use one of your personal pics. Hopefully people will be use good BASSRESOURCE.com ettiquete and not try to steal someones spot. Anyone notice the clear blue color of the water on this one, it really is like fishing the bahamas or the keys just by the color. I love spending the day there in my boat. So pleases dont be afraid to boast about your favorite spot, its half the battle of finding the fish. Quote

secretlakes Posted January 11, 2008 Author Posted January 11, 2008 nice. thats a lot ofwater to cover. lotsa goog places to start ( man made cover) though. Quote
BrianB Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 All mine are in the Pascagoula to Gulfport area of MS. I don't have a boat or any fishing buddies so I have to find them all myself. My favorites are two ponds off of HWY 57 near I-10, and the oxbows off the Pascagoula river in Vancleave. Most of my catches are in the 1-2 Lb range but I caught one that was 6 3/4 Lbs. All the fish are in real good shape since the waters are not very pressured. Most people around here fish for catfish not Bass. Not sure how to post pics but I could do LAT/LON if anyone is in hte area and would like it. Quote
Super User Tin Posted January 11, 2008 Super User Posted January 11, 2008 Thought someone was acctually going to quit bass fishing when I read the title of the thread. Mine is no secret, Inner Mallets Bay, Champlain, VT. Quote

Super User Wayne P. Posted January 14, 2008 Super User Posted January 14, 2008 rondef, yes it is. Quote
rondef Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Wayne, I have been there once right after a cold front came through and only caught one 2.5lb LMB. It was a really cold day and the wind was blowing hard. I am looking forward to going back this coming spring. I just need to buy a canoe that I can put in the lake, I do not want to chance damaging my bass boat. There are just too many stumps in the water and I am not familiar enough with the lake. I would love to find someone to go out with that could show me the lake and maybe some fishing techniques for Briery Creek Lake. I would in turn return the favor up here on the Potomac River in Northern Virginia. Ron Quote
Geronimo Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 I needed to break out of my old spots, and now I know where I'm headed! =) Quote

Davis Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Nothing big. 50 acre man made. 16 foot deep by the dam. 4-8 foot deep on the other end. But I can get around it in my small raft and have caught some nice bass and trout. Best of all....nobody hardly fishs it after the trout get picked off. Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted January 16, 2008 Super User Posted January 16, 2008 Lake Jameson: medium sized lake (one of the biggest i fish) it is my favorite lake though. i havent pulled anything too big out of it yet, with the exception of my 2nd best (4lb) fish. most of the time i catch around 7 or 8 smaller bass. its still a very fun time. the lake has a shoreline of lily pads and laydowns that extend probably 10' out fromthe shore around the whole lake (northern end is usually totally covered with lilies). pretty deep in the middle/mainlake....not sure how deep, but will find out with my new fish finder! ;D a few "on-site" pics: Quote
