Bassnajr Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 Hey all, As discussed in other threads the weather in the Northeast where I live has been crazy (-11 yesterday....55 degrees later in this week.) here's the question: I have watched a certain pond in my area freeze over and melt SEVERAL times in the last few weeks. What if anything does this do to bass?? I know they have internal clocks that tell them when to spawn etc. but this weather must screw them up somehow! I know it's making me wacko!!!! Alan Quote

Low_Budget_Hooker Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 It doesn't so much matter whether there is ice on top or not to them, it's about the metabolism and what it does in a 25-35 degree environment. They are all but sleeping right now, lol. Quote
