Just in case anyone has any spare X-mas money burning a hole in their pockets, the Dick's near my work has 20% off all Rapala, Berkley, Strike King, and Yum (or Zoom can't remember for sure) lures.

Also, all clearence fishing tackle is an extra 25% off.

The dicks I go to always has 20% off all zoom products 24/7 it feels. Really good deals I am always there stocking up on trick worms and super flukes.

The Dick's around Dayton also always has some good deals. It seems every week one company is 20% off or so. They also occasional have some of the lower end Diawa reels for 50-60 dolars off. The best part is the fishing department manager knows a lot about fishing and loves to talk about it, which can sometimes be hard to come by (he got me hooked on Bandit cranks and I'm still thankful.)

I don't hit any of my tackle stores from Dicks to BPS until mid Feb through mid March. By then they've restocked including all the new items for 2008.

I would have to disagree. A thing about fishing is that no matter were you go there tends to be almost no price difference between stores among big brand names.

the fishing and hunting manager at my local dicks (i used to work there) told me that they are getting tons of new tackle that they'll be putting on the shelves in the coming months. Keep an eye out for that surge of new tackle, Dick's doesn't get giant loads of tackle very often

I worked at a Dicks store for over 2 years, they do seem to be a little higher on alot of things but when they mark it down they really go rock bottom just to get rid of it.

I used to be able to tell what they paid for the item just by looking at the tag on it. They used a code that corresdonded to price. They have since changed that >

The DSG here in Durham is competitive with Wal-Mart.  I watch for the sales and usually hit them up then.  I agree with another comment that when then go "rock bottom" they really go all out as I have picked up a lot of good stuff.

The Dick's by me is on average around 10 to 20 cents higher than the BPS so 20% off of $7 is still saving a LOT per lure.

I havent been in the local DSG since Sportsmans Warehouse opened up.....I might have to stop by to see what all the fuss is about.

Without a doubt.  BPS sells Rapala HJ10's for 5.99.  DSG's price 5.99.  20% off the DSG price, good deal!  BPS sells DT's for 6.19, DSG's 6.59.  20% off the DSG price makes it a buck cheaper than BPS.

I'll be hitting BPS tonight to see if they have the same sale!

Any item that ends in .97 ($2.97 etc.) is clearence. No one tells you that.

I think it is .47 and .97.  

This summer Dick had 50% off all clearence tackle.  I was buying storm, bandit and norman cranks for around a buck or less.  

I will be hitting Dick's today at lunch.  I have 3 dicks within a 20 mile radius, including one super store.  Thay all have a little different selection.

I have disagree that most retailers are around the same prices on like items.

My wife and I stopped at the new Dick's in Rockwall Tx. on Christmas Eve after leaving BPS in Garland.

I was blown away with stiker shock at Dick's!

It became a joke between my wife and I about how high the prices were, and that "we can at least say we have been in Dick's now."

You people have a ball at Dick's if you want but thier prices are a third again higher than other stores I vist.

The price of building in the ever expanding Rockwall I guess?
