Brian_Reeves Posted December 20, 2007 Author Posted December 20, 2007 LBH, not sure if you got the pm or not but I sent that thing we talked about. Muddy, I wore the t-shirt to a Christmas party last night. I love it man, thanks a million. Fourbiz, can't fish right now. I have several bulged disks. I went out on the boat and I thought I was going to die. Looks like fish in centex are safe for a bit longer. I get my painkillers tomorrow though To everyone else, thanks a million for everything. I'm going to try to come up with some things to further contribute to the site and once I get my jig pouring under way, I'm going to send out some free prizes for testing. Muddy, you're first in the line up for that when I get my equipment. I want to see if I can change your mind about skirted jigs Thanks everyone Quote
Red Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 glad your home safe man....thanks! dont worry about the centex fish...i have been catching plenty of them...we caught over 100 fish (whites and hybrids) last sunday on belton...gonna do it again this weekend Cliff Quote

paul. Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 welcome back and thanks! is there somewhere that i can see some of your jigs? hope for a speedy recovery for you and hope you can get back after 'em soon. Quote
Brian_Reeves Posted December 20, 2007 Author Posted December 20, 2007 I don't have any real jigs that I've made start to finish. I've modified the junk that I bought. I have yet to have found a jig that I'm 100% satisfied with. Therefore, I'm going to start pouring, painting, and tying my own...and to top it off, I'm going to pour my own trailers. When I get everything, I'll make a few and post pics. Owner or Gammie hooks, clear fiberguards, and skirts that are done right from start to finish. Hopefully this isn't just an insane idea, but I'm going to give out quite a bit of them to see how they hold up throughout the US. Anyway, happy holidays all. Thanks again for everything Quote
luckyinkentucky Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 Welcome home. My little brother is over their right now at FOB Kalsu. He is with the 3rd ID. He's going to miss Christmas home this year, so keep him in your thoughts. I spent a total of 2 years over there between 20 March, 2003 to 15 August, 2005 with the 1st Force Reconnaissance Company. Only those of us that have been over there have a right to fuss about it in my opinion. ;D Good to see you home. Quote
Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted December 20, 2007 Super User Posted December 20, 2007 I am not a very emotional person, but when you hear of soldiers coming home it gets to me. It makes me all warm and fuzzy on the inside with joy and pride. And the same way when I hear of soldiers leaving, but more of a worrisome/proud feeling. I have two pretty close friends over there right now. I am so proud of them. I think/worry about them everyday. I cant even imagine what their families must go through. Cant say thank you enough man!!!!!!! And may your line never be limp once you heal up!!! (and I mean that in a fishing way ) Quote
Super User Catt Posted December 20, 2007 Super User Posted December 20, 2007 Alright alright alright no more freaking sand huh? Don't worry about the bass Matt Fly & I will round them up for you; you just relax & soak it all up for now. Welcome Home Y'all Quote

Take it slow, spend time with family. I have only been fishing a couple of times since returning home. I am getting ready for the new year. I have patience and anger issues now, I take one day at a time. My wife has has been helpful, she does not push me to talk when I do not want to. I hope your back gets better soon. Know go and enjoy your block leave. M_Fields Quote
