I am just getting back into bass fishing after a 20-year hiatus.  I have been reading different forums and an occasional magazine article, but I am looking for really good instructional videos on a variety of topics.

Like most of my hobbies, none of my friends or family are into the same things I am.  So, I have nobody to teach me new tricks.

I am looking for (if it exists) a comprehensive DVD, or perhaps a 3-pack of videos solely on bass fishing, that explains (actually shows) all the different techniques.

For example:

pitching and flipping,

how to fish plastics, when and where, and what colors to use

How to select spinnerbaits and buzzbaits (skirt colors, blade colors, one blade vs. two, colorado vs. willow, etc.)

How to 'walk the dog' with top waters and jerk baits

How to crash crankbaits

When to use crankbaits vs. spinners vs. jerkbaits vs. topwaters

What techniques are best for spinning gear and which are best for casting

I do not want to buy an entire library of DVDs, but up to three that will cover the basics and introduce some advanced techniques outlined above.

Any recommendations?

Suggestions:

pitching and flipping - Denny Brauer "Advanced Flipping, Pitching and Jigging" is excellent.

how to fish plastics, when and where, and what colors to use -

How to select spinnerbaits and buzzbaits (skirt colors, blade colors, one blade vs. two, colorado vs. willow, etc.) Kevin Van Dam's "Proven Spinnerbait Techniques" and Hank Parker's "Ultimate Guide to Spinnerbaits" and Gerald Swindle's "Teaching Success with Spinnerbaits."

How to 'walk the dog' with top waters and jerk baits - Zell Roland's "Topwater Tactics" and Mike Auten's "Classic Patterns for Topwater."

How to crash crankbaits - Tommy Martin's "Guide to Lipless Crankbaits" and "Catching with Crankbaits from Bomber."

When to use crankbaits vs. spinners vs. jerkbaits vs. topwaters - None known other than included in Woo Daves and KVD's and Ike's productions.  Jimmy Houston's "Jimmy's Best Ever" includs information on floating and suspending baits.

What techniques are best for spinning gear and which are best for casting - Again, none known ohter than included in the various DVDs and videos.  Just look and see what type of setup they are using when fishing the various lures.

A great Christmas present to yourself would be Ike's "Tactics for Tough Conditions" and Jimmy Houston's "Jimmy's Best Ever" which give you insight into various techniques.

The Woo Daves collection is a must, too.

Thank you Sam, I really appreciate those technique specific recommendations.

And thanks for the link, Cigarlover.  You're right, at $7.50, if I get one or two great tips out of that 3 DVD set it is worth it!  Hard to beat that price  :o
