Should I or shouldn't I

Ok so heres the deal, its been 70 degrees and beautiful all this week in TN, unfortunately I've had to work.  Anyway I get tomorrow off, but It just started raining and its gonna be 20 degrees cooler tom. highs only in the low 50's but sunny.  

So should I go fishing or stay home?  If I do what are some good baits to use after a front moves through?  Should I fish fast or slow or really slow?

If the weather has cleared off fish tight to cover and slow way down. Jigs, dropshot, etc. Leave it in the strike zone for ever. Yes, you should go. I never caught a thing sitting on the couch.

Hey as long as the water is there and it is safe it is always a good time to go fishing. ;D

Slow down and use more natural and smaller baits.  I find that this is my best option when I fish after a front rolls through.  I throw alot of green pumpkin in smaller jigs or small worms when this happens to me.

Fishing always beats sitting on the couch or just doing nothing. Fish one of two ways, slow down and finesse fish or go for reaction bites using a rat-l-trap, spinnerbait, ect. Also when is the front coming through? Usually from 6 hours after the front goes through until 24 hours after is when fishing usually gets tough, while the front is in the progress is passing fishing can be at its best. Dont always think that just because of the changing conditions fishing will be brutal. My experiences anyway. good luck and stay dry

The bite will probably be slow. Three baits I would try: finesse worms, finesse worms, and finesse worms. Fish slow and tight to cover. If you have any exposed rocks, they will soke up that sun and distribute the heat to the surrounding water, making those spots worth a try. Also, ditto on the rattle trap reaction bite, that's some seriously fun fishing when it pays off. Whatever you do, get off the couch and fish, enjoy every chance you get to be on the water. Let us know how it goes, and catch one for me!

But since you did ask, the right answer is to stay home, vacuum the carpets, wash the kitchen floor, clean the bathroom, dust the furniture and catch up on the ironing.

depends on why you would decide to stay home. temps dropping from the 71's to the 50's doesnt equate to a post frontal condition,especially overnite. the water temps arent going to drop significantly to put the bass in a funk.if anything it could stimulate the bait to move alittle which could be a trigger.if 50 deg. and rain is to uncomfortable to fish then ....i still wouldnt stay home id just bundle up fpr the conditions and go catch some bass...

I know this is a day late, and either youa re fishing now or you;re sitting at work, but you gotta think even if the air temp drops 20 degrees in a day, that's not going to affect the water temps that much, in turn not affecting the fish that much. If it stays 50 for a few days then it may have an impact, but there air temps will plays a bigger role on you than the bass. Plus the overcast day will bring them off the bottom and out of cover.

By the way, I wish it were 70 degrees up here. The past two days have been warm(low 60's)

The past week has been in the 50's, dropping to the low 30's at night.
