Davis Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 Not sure where this topic belongs. But there are a ton of junk fishing games out there. Haven't played them all. But with the winter season approaching fast I need some sort of fishing to keep me busy when the snow is flying. Any thoughts on anyone that uses there PC to play fishing games that don't stink? I have Rapala fishing but that is horrible. I want something that uses plastics and such. Quote
Tokyo Tony Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 Great question! I would also love to know the answer... (sorry I don't have the answer) Quote
jaskoh Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 I haven't played many fishing games but Bass Pro has one for the PC and Xbox that I enjoy playing. They have the xbox version on display and everytime Im there (once a week) I have to dominate a quick tourament. Quote
Tpayneful Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 I have Sony Playstation Bass Landing Video Game With Fishing Controller. It actually has a fishing reel controller that comes with the game. I haven't played it in a while but it helped that it actually had a fishing reel! Of course it isn't for the PC but you can play it on Playstation and Playstation II. It is better than most fishing games. Quote
BadKarma42 Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 Although it is not a strictly fishing game, I enjoy the Cabela's games (not the dangerous hunts in Africa). It's good mindless entertainment for a few hours at a time. Quote

NOw thats a realistic sporting game. Just wish I could find the same quality in a fishing game. From what I hear...Pro Bass Fishing 2003 may be the closest I can get. Quote
Tokyo Tony Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 Yeah all of the fishing games I've ever played have been really poor quality. I wish one of these bigshot game companies would put out a really awesome fishing game with the same types of graphics and quality that some of these violent games have. Probably because they make more money on the violent ones, but they could still turn a nice profit, I think, from a high quality fishing game. Sigh. Quote
BadKarma42 Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 That's why I referred to it as mindless entertainment. Besides, it makes me feel more like a man to kill stuff on video since I can't seem to do it in the woods! Quote
MemphisFisherman Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 The only one I have really played is Amtex's "gone fishing", it was allright and you can fish alot of different lures. It's abandonware now so you can look around an find it o the internet...infact, PM sent. Quote
dman Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 the best i ever played was Sega Bass Fishing on the Dreamcast. lots of fun , awesome graphics! In the next week or 2 i will be picking up the Rapala fishing for Xbox 360 , its got mixed reviews but my only option right now. I saw a rumor online a few days ago that Cabellas has an incredible Bass fishing game coming for the 360 very soon called Monster Bass but i cant find any info on it. Quote
Matt Jungblut Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 i just got trophy bass 7 its a bass pro game u use there lures it pretty good i also have that pro bass fishing 2003 id say those are the 2 best that they have out right now Quote
FivePoundBluegill Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 Im sure nintendo could make a realy great one for their Wii gameing system. They could probably make it so you use the wii's nunchuck controller like a reel..... Quote

A buddy of mine has the Sega Bass fishing, but for playstation 2(I know... not PC), but for a game made back in the day, it's a really sweet game. I sat there for hours playing it. Decent graphics, good lure selection, etc. I heard it is hard to find though. Quote

bubbler Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 in-fishermen and rapala pro fishing are fun. i can play these for ever. they are like 10 bucks and sell the rapala game at basspro shops and the in-fishermen at target or walmart Quote
Joel W Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 I've played a few fishing games and nearly all of them are just terrible. The only one that comes close to keeping my interest up during the winter is In-Fisherman Trophy Fishing. Not the greatest graphics as it's a older game. Quote

The casting with my mouse is horrible. Maybe if I had a mouse without a ball it would help. I want a game that gives me more of a selection. Not just Rapala stuff. Plastics, spinnerbaits, and a crank selection would be nice. Quote
armesjr Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Cabela's Monster Bass for the Xbox 360 comes out November 15th. You can pre-order it now. Quote
Infidel. Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Best ever been made is TNN bass tournament, is made for sega. I have to disagree, it's all about The Black Bass for NES!!! As far as a PC fishing game goes, my favorites are Trophy Bass I & II. I absolutly hate the new one that Bass Pro put out. By trying to make it realistic they just made it look lame. Quote
