Cigarlover 1 Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 Interpreting this as a hobbies question fishing is number 1 on the list. There's nothing I do that I enjoy more than fishing. Of course number 1 overall is spending time with family and friends, cooking and entertaining. Quote
Super User Alpster Posted October 1, 2007 Super User Posted October 1, 2007 Yes I have another hobby/passion........................... Like it better than fishing?? Just depends on what I have planned. I do get the same excitement out of preparing the bike and planning for a long MC trip that I do for a big fishing event. My 15 year old daughter loves to do both with me. LIFE IS GOOOD!!! Ronnie Quote
dink Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 I like to chase little white orbs around pastures with a flat stick every now and then (golf).... drop into a back bowl with some buddies for some untracked freshies (snowboarding).... waking up to crisp, cool morning in the woods and throwing another hunk of oak in the firepit (camping).... yeah, I like outside. Super User Bassn Blvd Posted October 1, 2007 Super User Posted October 1, 2007 OH YEA!!!!!!! Time with Elaine,Family and friends absolutley the most important thing in my life ( including cooking for them), followed by Music, the NY Met's then Fishing comes up in the rear! 8-) How could you put the METS over fishing. Even fishing without a hook would be better than the the METS...lol Quote
Daniel My Brother Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 When I was single I used to play a lot of golf, bowled 3 nights a week, road motorcycles, and fished. Now I've got a wife and 4 happy, healthy daughters. I haven't played a round of golf since last year. I sold my motorcycle 10 years ago and I only bowl once a week (9pm league, the little ones are in bed). BUT I'm fishing as much as I ever have! I wouldn't change a thing. Quote

Tokyo Tony Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 Fishing is number one, but I also love Texas Hold'Em (I live close to Foxwood's), golf, skiing, and mindlessly watching TV for hours while I play internet poker. Quote
nboucher Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 Hey Norm did you get any souviners from old Fenway? Only memories. There were no souvenirs to be had. Old Fenway is new Fenway. They've just been adding seats in interesting locations. I hope Fenway outlives me. I'd hate to see it ever torn down. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted October 1, 2007 Super User Posted October 1, 2007 Cooking and gardening...Seriously... Not just BBQ, my specialties are sauces and soups. Gardening? Yes, my wife and I have an extensive garden that is in full bloom and different bloom most of the year, including the winter! Each season has it's own color scheme, height and texture. Our plantings are for the most part, perrinial, which allows us to add variety over the years by building on the flowers we enjoy the most. Our trees and shrubs compliment our gardens and are have been individually selected. Even my grass varieties were choosen for "special" color and texture. Quote

I thought I read somewhere they sold or autioned off old seats as they reconfigured the stands? Anyway when Shea gets knocked down ( Ebeets Field II, there new home is half built) I am hoping to get a couple of seats for my back yard. Now I know the sadness my Dad felt when they knocked down Ebetts Field. Quote

hammer84 Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 Playing live in front of people with the band is one of my favorite. Cycling is still my numer one thing. Nothing clears the mind like a couple hour ride thru the country. Fishing with my kids if rapidly rising to the top of my list !!!! Quote

Campagnolo rules. Quote
Super User senile1 Posted October 1, 2007 Super User Posted October 1, 2007 My favorite past time is removing air conditioners from the roofs of businesses in the middle of the night, and then selling the copper for a big profit. Seriously, I love playing guitar and listening to music as much or more than fishing. Obviously, time with family and friends has to be placed above fishing as well. Quote
Davis Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 Beach Volleyball, Basketball, cooking or grilling, and I love to do landscaping. But probably my favorite thing to do besides fishing and is actually #1 is to serve my Lord Jesus Christ. I help out our youth pastor with a lot of activities in the Youth Group and serve in other areas of our church. Went down last summer to Lake Charles, LA for Convoy of Hope. Love the area down there and I really loved the welcoming of the Louisiana people for myself who is a New Yorker. Really felt the hurt and pain that Rita put on you guys down there. Went down to what is left of Cameron and just shed some tears. Anyway those are the things that I really enjoy. Quote
Guest btlva Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 Wow, I'm surprised at alot of these reponses! Good thread! Fishing has always been hands-down #1 for me since I was 2 years old. Nothing else is even REMOTELY close! Quote
Super User MALTESE FALCON Posted October 2, 2007 Super User Posted October 2, 2007 Time spent with my beautiful wife and the wonderful family she gave me is number one. After that, it's fishing. Teaching the grandkids to fish has been a hoot the past few years. Going to the casino with my wife once a week is alot of fun too. We've had a very profitable year so that makes it even more fun. Super User Redlinerobert Posted October 2, 2007 Super User Posted October 2, 2007 Throughout the years, I have been into a few hobbies but the one that always brings me back is fishing. I would have to say that cars are a close second. Quote
