mluman83 Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Fool around with this. Type in your address and zoom in or out to see any bodies of water you never knew were there! ;D http://terraserver.microsoft.com/ Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted September 30, 2007 Super User Posted September 30, 2007 i like google earth better. its in color too. you can move freely and see the entire world with it. but yeah, ive found alot of places to fish using it! Quote
Super User Catt Posted September 30, 2007 Super User Posted September 30, 2007 Goggle Earth is in 3D Quote
ewokmonsta720 Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Yeah. Google Earth is the balls. What's even better................... a Delorme Atlas. Thanks to Delorme I found a nice little pond 4 minutes down the road with smallmouth and pickerel in it. I never knew it was there and I've been living here for 18 years! I'd imagine the fishing pressure is fairly light. I think I'll check it out at lunch time with some shore casts to see what I get. Quote
Guest avid Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 cool idea but a little outdated. The only image they had for my address was a topo map from 1986 My neighborhood did not exist back then so I got a nice view of the swamp that was here LOL. It's Florida dude. Quote
ewokmonsta720 Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 That sux. The photos of my area are only a couple of years old. I'm able to zoom right in and see dams. I can pick out courses on rivers, and in winter I can zoom in on chair lifts at ski resorts and even pick out routes for the next day. But, nothing beats my Delorme Atlas. I'm dam near in love with the thing. Quote
pondhopper Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 It's amazing how many fish are caught by satellite these days. Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted September 30, 2007 Super User Posted September 30, 2007 my friend told me that he heard on the news that google just launched a huge satelite thats supposed to give new pictures every day. i never heard it for myself but that will be awesome if they do. i know that google updates there pictures about twice a year right now. whats a delorme atlas and is it online? or is it actually a book?
