fishbear Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 I think I hear Guntersville calling out to BassResource.com.....69,000 acres of bass fishing area. http://www.outdooralabama.com/fishing/freshwater/where/reservoirs/guntersville/ Quote

If you know of a source that I could not find, please send me a PM. Quote
George Welcome Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 Boat rentals are going to be a major issue. I know that other than Okeechobee (Roland's) there isn't much in Florida. Quote
Super User Alpster Posted August 20, 2007 Super User Posted August 20, 2007 Bass boat rentals are always going to be a crap shoot IMO. Our buddy Rick at lake Fork proved that big time. If not for the kindness of BR members, my trip would have been ruined by the shyster boat rental guy. No matter where we meet this year, I will have my boat in tow. I will also be anxious to fill my empty seat with someone who has to travel. Maybe there will be enough members with boats that those who don't or must fly in will have a seat in a boat. That would open up a lot more possibilities for a suitable lake. JMHO Ronnie Quote

You never know, it could be 80 degrees or zero. I wish I could give better news about the weather there, it would only be a 2 hr drive for me. Kelley Quote
IneedAnewScreenName9886691 Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 Back to the Fork or maybe T-bend, but I was hoping to catch you guys at the Fork this year! I can't think of any other reasonable location, weather-boat rental-accomadations? Quote
Fendercaster Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 posted by George Welcome: Boat rentals are going to be a major issue. I know that other than Okeechobee (Roland's) there isn't much in Florida. I wouldn't rent a defibrillator from Roland if I was having a heart attack ! If it's Alabama or Florida, I might be able to make it. Might have an empty seat, too. I've only got a Tracker, but it floats and moves! Quote
Super User Jimzee Posted August 20, 2007 Super User Posted August 20, 2007 If you guys decide on Kentucky lake, Guntersville, or Lake Fork I will have my boat in tow. There will be an empty seat in the boat if the wife doesn't go. Anyone is welcome to it. Quote
