I am not so confident that the Barometric pressure has as much effect as people give it credit. I think right in and around a big change the fish are goofy, but in just a few hours they will start hitting again...all be it maybe on something different.

I have had some of my best days fishing in the rain and on days with come and go storms.

...and rain is right...

I live near Chicago...raining again the last two days. I do not remember this wet of an august. This is like what it should have been in April.

Last 8 days it has rained for 6 of them.

I like rain...but it is getting old now.

Send some of that rain down here to Tallahassee.  You can't get a boat in at two of my favorite lakes.

I live about 30 miles south of Buffalo near Lake Erie. There calling for rain all day long but no thundershowers. Been thinking about going fishing today for the past couple of days. So as long as the lightning doesn't come out to play, I will be taking my raft out with the trout worms out on my small lake.

I wish we could get some rain here in north Alabama... It has been over 100 degree's for over 2 weeks straight.... The heat index has been at 120 at times but usually around 106 to 110.... About the only time I can stand to get out is 4 or 5 in the morning to about 11.... then from 6:30 to about 8.... Other than that is is just to hot... I do not night fish because I cannot stand mosquitoes and they are everywhere here.... I think we are still 25 inches below average on rain fall...... :'(

Been raining here for better part of 2 days, I'm PUMPED!!!

The local river has been low and clear with little flow, this rain will add some color, level, and flow, and fishing will be on fire!!! Just in time for this weekends tournament ;)

I love fishing in the rain on Table Rock.  It drives all of the pleasure boaters off of the  lake.  All I see when it rains is fishermen.

Wish I could.  Can't get on the lakes here either due to high water.

Well I ended up going out yesterday like I planned. Didn't take the raft out though because there was a chance of a thunder storm. Very windy and rainy. The only one out there at this small lake was myself for good reason. It was nasty lol.

Decided just to use some garden worms and a split shot rig. The trout weren't biting and that was a tad suprising but the panfish sure were. I caught a bass around 13" and about 50-60 gills and pumpkinseed (huge ones lol). Went through 30 of my garden worms and averaged at least 2-3 fish with them so thats how I came up with that number. But man the pumpkinseed that I was pulling out were HUGE. Definately my favorite of the bream. So pretty.

Anyway I didn't land the brookies that I was going after and the water conditions were too wild to use my new sticks from Brent but man did I have fun fighting those little guys for a couple of hours while getting drenched. :) In the end thats all that matters. ;D
